“Pros: Spacious, clean and reasonable proces Cons: Some doormen are not hice”
— 420 EAST 79 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Helpful super, clean building, has been a good experience for the last several years Cons: A good amount of construction on the building, but I think that's mostly completed”
— 369 WEST 52 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Clean building, great super Cons: Roaches in the summer, mice in the winter”
— 229 EAST 80 STREET · Manhattan“Unit 4F Pros: The cost is fair for the space. The air quality isn’t fantastic, but otherwise the building is clean enough. Good super. Cons: The air quality. The location and proximity to nearby clubs.”
— 369 WEST 52 STREET · Manhattan“Unit 1A Pros: In building laundry room Elevator Great area Cons: - The previous supers were amazing but the current super is extremely unhelpful. The old super would fix your issue within 2 hours of calling him. With this current super I’ve had to repeatedly call and practically beg for him to fix something and sometimes even then he won’t show up. So now the unit has a bunch of issues… - We constantly get our packages stolen, but they won’t allow us to install a doorbell camera - Aggressive rent increases, each year they have increased our rent by $500+ - My unit had a really bad mouse issue - My unit is close to the garbage so I hear everytime someone throws out their garbage - My unit has issues such as a slow flushing toilet, holes in the wall, closets with broken doors, broken fridge compartments, no ventilation in the bathroom - the upstairs neighbors seem to drop furniture and vacuum every day - next door neighbors sings loudly, like Whitney Houston level belting - the broker told us he would reimburse the broker fee in 3 months and after excuses after excuses and years of haggling he never did Advice to landlord: Please listen to renter’s complaints and fix the issues in the apartment! Find a solution to your theft issue. Stop the unreasonable rent increases.”
— 229 EAST 80 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Great location near the Q and short walk to 6. Right in the middle of all UES spots. Good amount of closet space and bigger windows. Cons: You hear noise from construction, almost everything from neighbors and steps from above. Apartments in the back get minimal sunlight most of the day. Apartments are generally small for the price. No laundry in building. Advice to landlord: Soundproofing”
— 240 EAST 83 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Good storage space, decent sizes, individual kitchen, responsive superintendent Cons: Bad flooring, pest situations,”
— 369 WEST 52 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: The units are pretty spacious for New York standards, and the super is great and makes sure the space is well maintained. This apartment is also close to many subway lines. Cons: If your unit faces the side of the street there may be noise from gay clubs and sirens from nearby hospitals. The bathroom could use a remodeling. There are sometimes cockroaches in the summer.”
— 369 WEST 52 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Clean and well maintained. Good pest control. Cons: Walls and ceilings are thin and you hear your neighbors. I had particularly loud neighbors and it really negatively affected my experience here overall. Management did try to fix the issue by talking to them, but I think it’s more of a structural thing. If you’re sensitive to noise I’d look elsewhere.”
— 316 EAST 55 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Building Manager saw to it that the apartment was freshly painted, spotless, and ready when we moved in. Entire building staff friendly and extremely helpful. Any maintenance/service issues in the apartment are promptly and correctly addressed. Hallway renovations nicely done. Cons: None to speak of.”
— 420 EAST 79 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Great neighborhood. Responsive super. Laundry in building. Back yard is regularly cleaned by supers. Live on ground level with backyard and thankfully has not flooded. Cons: Can hear your next door and upstairs neighbors don’t move here if you work night shift. Personally, my next door and upstairs neighbors are loud af, and constantly sound like they’re throwing furniture around. Frequently play music too loud. Tiny radiators that don’t warm up the apartment enough in the winter. Janky caulking. Advice to landlord: Put in better radiators. Make caulking look nicer.”
— 229 EAST 80 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Well maintained and garage in building Cons: Nothing to mention”
— 420 EAST 79 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Supers were excellent and responsive Cons: Extremely loud neighbors in multiple units. No insulation. Management did nothing to resolve noise issues and has made it nearly impossible to get out of lease. Raised rent on resigning lease during covid and never responded when contacted Advice to landlord: Respond to tenants’ noise and safety concerns”
