PROSPECT REALTY GROUP LLC · avg 2.4 ★★★★★ · New York City
“Pros: Located on a quiet block and not far from shops Nice spacious rooms and apartment itself, lots of storage and counterspace Units seem well maintained Cons: Public amenities (ie trash, laundry, elevator) aren't well maintained Stairwells are dirty Front door usually is locked with keypad entry but is broken more often than not Advice to landlord: Invest more in maintaining the building itself”
— 222 EAST 17 STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: Close to trains, Prospect Park. Cons: The heat is unbearable at times. We can control the heat so it can be 55 outside but the heat is turned off full blast. Also elevator goes down once every two months and consistently slams when closing. Advice to landlord: Be smart about how you manage the heat in the building. With climate change weather patterns are not the same as in the past. I shouldn’t be wearing tank tops and shorts in the middle of winter because it’s 55 outside but the heat is full blast in my apartment.”
— 200 EAST 17 STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: The apartment is renovated with great closet space. One block to the train station Cons: The garbage room is filled with tiny flies and roaches that crawl into your apartment and around the halls. The hallways are never clean. There’s a huge trash pile up behind the building which encourages rodents. The side door is always left open. Very unsafe. The super is also 100% not responsive and doesn’t care. Management is nice though. They definitely need a new super. Advice to landlord: Hire a new super who cares about your building. This one is doesn’t care unless he’s contacted endless times. Says he has another job or something. Lock the side/front doors! Someone is going to get hurt one day.”
“Pros: The units have decent closet space and there’s an elevator. Cons: Each trash room had small roaches. The super was not bothered by them. I also had a mouse in my apartment twice and brown water. Advice to landlord: Hire an exterminator and move the trash from in front of the building.”
— 200 EAST 17 STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: There’s a garage Cons: Side door is open so anyone can walk in, people selling & smoking drugs in the front, during the summer these people that hang out in the front are really loud during summer nights they hang out until 4am usually. roaches and rats all over the building, the incinerator is broken so the garbage is just piled up in the trash room on every floor been like this for years. Big rats on the first floor. The laundry room is disgusting. I can go on and on! Advice to landlord: Fix this place up it’s a damn mess!”
