“Unit 6C Pros: Nice building, great staff, garden view. In the heart of West Village but still quiet since it's on a quiet block. I've been quite happy living here and would still be here if they hadn't raised my rent by 25%. Cons: Even though the surface has been renovated, the guts of the building are still pretty old so weird stuff can happen with the pipes, etc. For example, we have this weird gunk that collects on our water faucets where the water comes out so we have to clean them every month or two. The soundproofing between apartments isn't great and the floors are SUPER squeaky. You'll make a ton of noise even tiptoeing around your apartment with bare feet. Our downstairs neighbors has complained to us many times. Advice to landlord: Actually upgrade the guts of the building instead just surfaces. Fix the squeaky floors. Don't raise rent by so much”

— 10 DOWNING STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Well maintained building and doorman was super kind. The corner shop had many small things. Near subway Cons: Elevator was broken a few times”
— 10 DOWNING STREET · Manhattan“Lovely apartment in an updated, pre-war West Village building. We chose 10 Downing due to its location and amenities -- gym, garden, elevator, doorman, soon-to-be rooftop -- which is hard to find in this neighborhood. It may be loud during the week but perhaps it is due to the fact that we're smack on 6th Ave...the city has to renovate at some point. I've known the same neighbors and seen the same residents over the past decade, along with the same doormen and same super which I think speaks to its character.”
— 10 DOWNING STREET · Manhattan“agree with the previous posts.. on-going construction at illegal hours, walls and ceiling/floor are paper thin so every sounds is magnified to create a stressful home environment.. and mgmt is horrible.. they only want money are are NASTY!! don;t waste your money moving here as everyone who moves in is out within a a year or two. i'm in the process of moving now.”
— 10 DOWNING STREET · Manhattan“I have lived here for 7 years and just moved out. I agreed with the previous comment - Stonehenge mgt is nasty and they don't care about the tenants. The building is old and not sure why they coined themselves as "luxury building". Nothing is great other than the super/doormen and location of the building. I'd recommend you to spend $ on other newer/cheaper buildings in the city.”
— 10 DOWNING STREET · Manhattan“never ending construction...starts very early in the morning, multiple disruptions of water and power....expensive and stonehenge management does not care about the residents!”
