“Do not move here unless you enjoy having your water shut off with no notice, having your mail stolen, walking up 10+ flights of stairs when the elevator breaks (often), and being harassed by alcoholic, chain-smoking neighbors. This building is 16 stories high and has one elevator. The elevator breaks multiple times per week for hours on end. The mailboxes are easily broken into and the the building has very little security. Either someone from this building broke into the mailboxes, or came in when the doors were left propped open (which they often are), and I am now dealing with identity theft and stolen balance transfer checks leading to a withdrawal of $1,700 on my credit card. When I contacted the super about this, he told me to "stop making stuff up". Since we moved in we have had to deal with one specific neighbor down the hall who chain smokes and is a belligerent alcoholic who bangs on people's doors drunk and yells at them. The management company does nothing about this despite police reports being filed and multiple neighbors being affected. This week, when our water was shut off and when we asked the super about it, he said it would be shut off for two days. No email was received and no notices were posted in the building. This building, the superintendant, and the various management companies being cycled through are NO help and take ZERO responsibility for anything. One month after moving in our alcoholic neighbor slid a note under our door saying, "your apartment is haunted. everyone knows. you'll see" and I am seriously starting to believe her. This place is awful and I hope after reading this that no one chooses to live here. Move somewhere else!!”
