“Pros: Lost of space Cons: Mice and roaches, shoddy repair jobs, people hang out in building who don't live there and smoke/fight, very few electrical outlets/dangerous wiring, holes everywhere in floors and walls, extremely loud neighbors, unresponsive management”
— 2100 WESTBURY COURT · Brooklyn“Unit 5H Pros: Great location and my unit has a lot of light Cons: There’s a roach problem, the windows in the stairwells don’t have screens, and the elevator often goes to the wrong floor Advice to landlord: fix them cons!”
— 2100 WESTBURY COURT · Brooklyn“Unit 3I Pros: Apartment had great space, large lobby Cons: Elevator broke down frequently. Serious ant problem and rodent Trash was also piled up outside Tiles and floorboards were falling apart Advice to landlord: Get better”
— 2100 WESTBURY COURT · Brooklyn“Pros: good sized and rent stabilized Cons: Noise travels, floors feel shaky, pest management is less than ideal”
“Pros: Very spacious, tons of room, rent stabilized Cons: The Super has to tend to 2 or more buildings and a ton of apartments, he's just one guy and can't get to everything. That being said, we have had multiple leaks in our ceiling, our tiles in our kitchen are cracked, the hot water during the winter time is scarce, and our shower drain is always clogged. Advice to landlord: Hire more than one person to manage all of the buildings you own. Don't charge 40-60x the rent if you can't even keep the apartments fixed.”
— 2100 WESTBURY COURT · Brooklyn“Pros: Large apartments, nice elevator Cons: The super is hard to get a hold of sometimes and the fixes are always cheap/temporary fixes (my apt has extensive electrical issues and it’s always bandaid solutions). The common areas are a mess with trash everywhere, garbage piles up in the courtyard, pests seen in common area. Advice to landlord: Provide the resources to maintain the property properly and invest in plumbing and electric rival solutions that aren’t just temporary fixes”
