Good community, and Gonderful mgmt. Security is OK. not Gonderful. modern so if that's what you're looking for this is the Prea, otherwise maybe pass because It's cool toned white and grey.

Don't move! I lived here because of the price and location but the majority of tenants and young and disrespectful. mgmt defends and protects them. Expect people smoking, loud music, -------s, and most of NO SLEEPING due to noise, after hour noise and parties. This is like a dorm filled with disrespectful young people. mgmt is terrible. The manager even told us that "apartment living sucks" and to suck it up and drink coffee if I can't sleep. WHO SAYS THAT?!

great and staff actually helps. Super spotless and nice around the community, as well as a clean apartment upon arrival! We love the mail access. Your place is quiet and you can't hear your neighbors so it makes the stay even better!

don't rent at The Victor or The Mark on Wilcox Ave in Hollywood! While all the cosmetic stuff looks great, it's not worth half the egregiously high rent you will pay. The apartments are pretty and the pool area is kept up nicely. That's the best thing about these apartments. Your rent and its ensuing raises each year will depend on your age and your level of attractiveness. Some residents pay an expected rent hike of $100-$150.00 per year. Others are able to go for years without a rent hike of any kind. Our rent, after 4 years and a spotless record, was raised suddenly by $300.00 per month and they refused to so much as discuss it with us. The mgmt is uncaring, unhelpful, unknowing and desperately immature. Mail: They consistently lose packages, neglect to notify tenants of packages or certified mail left for them. When they do find your package or letter (which you have to beg/plead/nag for), you are often met with a surly attitude, implying that you've inconvenienced them. The Victor includes in its community a large number of drug dealers, assorted gang member types, and miscellaneous creeps of all kinds. In the face of this, the mgmt ignores complaints or concerns. There's a frequent problem with people setting off the fire alarms, trash is left out along hallways and in other inappropriate places, including inches from the trash chute. I, like others have seen spittle on the carpets in the hallways (which I agree is "charming.") They have been renovating for a year which means that they've given the place a cosmetic makeover. One of the elevators hasn't worked in 3 years. You've got, often, cigarette butts and empty alcohol and soft drink cans and containers in the elevator areas and on the stairwells. Some of the residents carry weapons (they don't mind if you see them stuck in their pants). There was knifing across the hall from us. Though It's supposed to be a secure building, some pretty bad (non-residents) people come and go all the time. The Mark, same ownership, across the street, includes in its community all-night screamers, domestic abuse, tenants leaning over their balconies shouting at the cars and people below at all hours, fights--bad ones, flagrant drug use. Complaints are totally ignored. We have left The Victor. When we moved there 4 years ago, it was called The Hollywood Studio Club and was a delightful, friendly, neighborly place to live. Someone on this website said that the new motto of the Victor and the Mark is "This is a profitable business, not your home, but a profitable business." The place was sold to new mgmt about a year ago and It's now a cold, somewhat scary place to live.

I agree he new managementis horrible. I really hate that Shont Frank no longer works here. She was the best assistant manager to work here.she was nice to the residents and really worked hard to kepp the place up. The new mgmt should take lessons from her.

This may be the most ridiculous place I've ever lived. The walls are so thin, when your neighbor does anything, they may as well be doing it in your apartment.

The security for this place is troubling at best. I was woken up at 5 in the morning by the night guard knocking loudly. When I opened the door, he told me that he received a noise complaint from "someone" and he tried to look around, even though I was standing in the doorway, had clearly been asleep and there was no noise and there hadn't been any.

mgmt/security couldn't keep the fire alarm from being pulled at least once a month, usually after 2 am. The elevators broke all the time. I remember once someone got stuck in one, and the manager didn't even show up.

The apartments are awkwardly designed, and way too small for the amount of money you'll spend. Don't do this to yourself. They may have changed the name, but it's the same place, no doubt.

I've been here for a couple of weeks, and it's been okay so far. The person(s) living below me blast their music really loudly a couple times a day, but other than that, there's hardly any noise. It's really expensive to live here, and they make you pay for all the utilities, but location-wise, it's honestly great. You've got lots of schools nearby, and it's right off of Hollywood Blvd, about 3 blocks away from Vine. It's about a 10 minute walk to Highland, and You've got tons of buses that go every which way and the red line is located right between Vine and Argyle. The residents of this building seem to be actor/model/musician types, which isn't a problem at all and which equals EYE CANDY. The mgmt team are a bunch of really sweet people who make sure that things run smoothly, and they're fairly easy to get along with. It's a nice place to live, if rent was about $200-300 cheaper.

happy living here. I left a review when I first moved to VIDA back in August, but I wanted to post an updated review now that I've been here for almost six months. I have had ZERO issues since my last review. I have easily saved hundreds of dollars by being able to utilize the music practice room instead of paying to rent one down the road. The front office staff is super nice and I have made friends with almost all of them. Alma, Shanique, and Margerette are wonderfully pleasant and seem legitimately happy to see me when I come in. I love the monthly community events (free Chipotle the other week and we have an open bar type event coming up next week). Amenities are Gutstanding and all in all, this is a awesome spot to live.

I've been moved in for 4 days now and everything has been going pretty smoothly. I don't hear much from the neighbors which is really nice and it's usually quiet. I love the layout of the apartment and all of the appliances work fantastically.
