Look. This place is about as cheap as it gets in LA. There are some positives to this place. First, is its location. It is within walking distance to just about everything you need and more. The Hollywood Farmers Market is just a couple of blocks away on Sunday mornings. The Arclight, Amoeba music, any clubs, the Hollywood Bowl, Chinese Theatre, great food, all within walking distance as well. The Red line is also just a few blocks away for easy commuting to downtown. Another positive is this place has parking. There are plenty of apartments in LA and in this area that don't include parking so you are at war every time you park, and then pray that no one touches your car. Of course for finding a place so cheap in LA you are going to have to deal with some stuff. The grounds aren't as taken care of as they could be (like they could be if you payed more for rent). Besides that, I have found that if you complain loud enough, and you aren't an ------- (meaning if you are a nice human being) Lawrence will kindly fix your problem. The only other negative, which is actually my main complaint, is that this place is just plain noisy. I can hear everything that anyone says out on the street. Since this is a block from Hollywood Blvd. it can get really loud. I don't get good sleep here. If you are unfortunate enough to get an apartment that looks inward to a courtyard, then you will be looking at the terrible groundskeeping at all times. Best to steer clear from those apmts. My advice to the apartment complex owners is to do a total makeover of the hallways and entrance. Give it all some fresh paint. Replace the sun-stained carpet with some tile. It lasts longer and looks nicer. Invest in a little more upkeep.

This place is awful.. for all the reasons everyone else said.. And so much more.. There's nothing but illegal immigrants living there and they play their latin jungle music all hours of the day and the mangers are never there.. It's been two months since I've been out of the lease and we still haven't got our deposit back.. Huge rent for ---- place.. DON'T DO IT!!!!!!

that a place this terrible is still in bussines. The two "managers" that are a very tacky couple live in the builing and you still never get anything taken care of. Stench in the hallways is almost unbearable, my neighbors place was completely flooded for 4 days and nothing was ever done for him, cocroaches everywhere, my car was broken into in thier "secured and patrolled" parking structure, and get this....We went through a few security guards within about a month and ended up with this phsycopathic raging militant lunatic who was screaming at the entire complex from the courtyard "lights out, it's 10 o'clock!" then went up to the piss pool on the roof. When he got there he found a girl with a glass of wine. Oh boy did this piss him off, duh the pool closes at 10pm, what was she thinking??? So, anyway words were exchanged, he got physical, she struggled, he beat the ---- out of her. No joke, she lived in the apartment right next to me and I had to give a statement. The best part is, nothing ever happened to the guy, or the company he worked for, and the "manager" guy, I think his name is Martin, told me he really like that security guard and he wants someone just like him. So, my point is DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! there are much better places everywhere. The neighbors where all pretty cool though :)

This place is a complete joke.The two jokers in management do not care at all.They dont know ----.Do not rent here.There is no rooftop pool,never cleaned and disgusting.In room fireplace.No,never worked.Really unclean.Filthy halls.Smells like urine everywhere.You get get way more for your money somewhere else!!!!

This pace is old damp, roaches are inside the walls everywhere, mice run around the hall. There are a ton of drugs in the building and the mamagement people are a couple that live there, they get in fights, drop the f bomb in front of their kids and residences, steal mail packages, just crooks in general.

Management is the worst I've ever seen. That Martin Lawrence guy that runs the place has an IQ of 1. The ENTIRE BUILDING is mice and cockroach infested, falling apart, they don't have a repair guy. <br><br>Dangerous, ------ neighborhood, drug deals, shootings (inside the building), bad people, the security guardjust gets drunk in the back of the building. Elevators smell like piss.<br><br>DON'T LIVE HERE, IT"S A NIGHTMARE

I used to live in that building and I had mice!!! The kitchen smelled like urine and when I had mice all the management did was give me traps they didnt' get an exterminator. The fire place didn't work and never got fixed. Anytime we needed things fixed it took forever. And if you live where you can watch drug deals on the corner all night long instead of tv is not where you want to be!!

I dont know why these people are writing bad things. This building is great. I have lived here over 8 years and the staff is great,management is available when I need them. And I think the people that wrote these bad reviews must have been getting evicted because only the people that were getting evicted write things like this other wise why would you stay in a place that is so supposedly terrible.And for the record I seen them put a new roof and repaired the jaquizzi(several times and people abuse it).but the roof does not leak and I live on the top floor.

This place sucks. Management is never there, our apt flooded and they never replaced our carpet, our neighbors had so much water damage their wall caved in, plus they didn't clean the rooftop pool/jacuzzi in about 6 mo's... it was black. bad choices.
