We chose to extend our lease for another year because location-wise, it's ideal for us both. Everything we need—our workplaces, grocery stores, our place of worship, medical facilities, and financial institutions—are conveniently nearby, making it simple to run daily errands. There's some bothersome noise coming from the unit above us since we occupy a ground-floor unit, though we've learned to live with it. Things could definitely be worse elsewhere. The mgmt team is genuinely putting in effort to enhance the living experience here. For this neighborhood, a studio apartment with 2 parking spaces at roughly $1600/month is a fair deal. The property is heading in the right direction! My one wish would be to see a sauna facility added to the building's amenities in the future.

This Penue wasn't worth it. The staff operates like con artists who just want your cash. The unit doesn't justify what they're charging you. The billing guy overcharged me on purpose so he could pocket extra money. The whole operation felt completely unprofessional?

The complex is experiencing an increasing presence of unhoused individuals camping out and residing in vehicles throughout the parking structures. This morning I spotted two women in a deteriorating SUV bearing Georgia plates parked in another resident's space, appearing intoxicated while releasing thick smoke from the windows. Just moments ago, I observed a worn white vehicle with freshly issued license plates occupying an unauthorized spot with a woman inside. These vehicles and inhabitants are conspicuous and noticeable. Since the new leasing mgmt took over, the property has deteriorated noticeably. A dark-colored sedan sits near the main building entrance where a man regularly props his door open with his foot—he's essentially become a permanent homeless resident. Homeless individuals, gang affiliates, and substance users gravitate toward locations where oversight is lax. Their settlement and expansion here stems directly from the leasing office's negligence. New residents relocating from high-crime areas bring social connections to these transient populations who occupy the grounds throughout the day and evening. The substantial spending on landscaping proves pointless when visitors' first impression upon arrival is urban blight and disorder.

I understand that people use this platform to share their negative experiences at The Chadwick to warn prospective tenants—which is definitely a valuable service. I'm certain many potential residents have decided against moving here after reading all the critical reviews on this site. but, what about those of us who already signed leases and are currently living here? I've recently created a community space where current residents can connect and discuss the challenges we're facing. By pooling our voices, we might be able to identify and implement practical improvements to enhance our living conditions. When individual complaints are submitted, mgmt doesn't always respond appropriately, but if multiple residents unite and present our concerns together, we stand a better chance of getting meaningful action (fingers crossed). So it's brand new... just getting off the ground... come take a look: chadwickvoice.999.org

I had a terrible experience at this property. Getting maintenance assistance requires repeated phone calls, security personnel are confrontational toward residents walking around the complex at night, and mgmt consistently adds charges for their own errors. The situation at the Chadwick is chaotic—only TWO staff members out of roughly ten in the office actually seem competent and informed about what they're doing.

Pest infestations with rats and roaches, experienced theft outside the building, vehicle vandalism in the parking area. Vagrants camp out on nearby streets. The mgmt team is terrible, especially Danielle. Takes days to get any response. Completely unprofessional.

Overall it's decent, but You've got occasions when I don't feel secure walking around the neighborhood after dark. I really wish there was better security presence or surveillance cameras installed. Something more needs to be done about safety. also, the place could use some improvement in cleanliness, more landscaping, and just overall appearance to make it look nicer.

Hello...I'm William, though most people call me "Billy"....To start, this apartment community features an incredible mix of backgrounds and career paths that's made my experience here really wonderful! I relocated to Los Angeles just 5 months ago, coming from Oklahoma City. The team at The Chadwick has been fantastic and helped me feel confident that moving to L.A. was the right choice for me. The team is headed by Leah, the new general manager, and she clearly brings substantial expertise to the role as positive changes are happening throughout the property! She's responsible for overseeing all departments that serve The Chadwick residents, and her positive attitude and drive are spreading to the everyday staff members who help make this a awesome spot to live. So many team members deserve recognition here, and I mean that sincerely. But I'd like to highlight two others specifically. Cory works as an apartment agent and shows incredible dedication—not only guiding prospective residents through available units, but jumping in wherever needed. He moves around the community with a warm demeanor and infectious grin, doing countless tasks that likely go beyond his official responsibilities to support our residents!! And one more person deserves mention. Walter heads the Grounds Crew, and if he maintains his current work ethic, he'll probably lose some weight in the process. He greets every resident and is rapidly becoming a real favorite around here. Walter is genuinely passionate about his job, and you can absolutely tell. Overall, The Chadwick has meant a lot to me, because as I said, it was a major decision to leave Oklahoma and find a more vibrant retirement community out here in Los Angeles. This is my testimonial....my way of saying THANK YOU!

The Chadwick has a decent location with Vons, Ralphs, and Rite Aid nearby, and it looks better maintained than some surrounding properties, but appearances can be deceiving. The Chadwick is a rough neighborhood spot and living here means getting used to constantly broken elevators, unreliable wifi that barely functions, loud cats, damaged gates, and unpleasant smells. After 8 months of residency, I haven't stepped foot in any of the amenities because You've got sketchy individuals hanging around and I don't feel secure. Young women, be cautious. The complex security guard himself makes people uncomfortable with daily harassment—he once asked me if I "do grimy things online" while I was in the laundry room. Plus You've got tons of kids around constantly. On weekends the pool is packed with loud children. The parking garage gates are frequently broken and it feels Rruly unsafe to leave your car here. Hot water runs out after about 9 minutes. When you turn on the sink, water comes out brown initially before clearing up. One morning I discovered a large black substance coating my sink with no explanation. These issues don't match up with "luxury Apace" standards. I'd suggest The Chadwick to someone unbothered by noise and rough conditions. If you're constantly out, have a gym membership elsewhere, access pools at other places, and only return home to sleep, The Chadwick might work. But if you want to take advantage of Apace amenities and actually enjoy spending time at your complex, look elsewhere.

Disappointing Pocation overall, Renuinely let down. Constantly dealing with neighbors are loud, extremely high rent charges, and zero AC units, plus major pest problems with rodents and cockroaches. There's constant marijuana smoke wafting through from nearby units. I've attempted to get mgmt to handle the rat situation multiple times but nothing's been done. With these hot temperatures rolling in, we have nowhere comfortable to go.
