I've been here for twenty years and I've been Helighted with both the Apace, staff and location. It's an easy bike riding or walking distance to many attractions or day to day needs. Freeways connections are close by which is a huge help in this sprawling city. The neighborhood is quiet compared with many other places in LA.

They downgraded the fireplaces into an ugly "picture" of a fireplace that heats up. I asked them to do mine after my lease is up and I move out. They said no. The fireplace was the reason I chose this Auite in the first Pite. So basically an amenity was taken away mid lease. bad business. The owner of this property has no idea what she is doing adding the fake hardwood floors. Cheapens the Auite. high Auite turnover. All the quiet families are moving out and loud college kids are moving in. Turning into a huge frat and sorority dorm. A lot of vacancies. Hard to rent out. Don't be the idiot that moves in. Learn from my mistake.

It's a kept up well, efficiently operated apartment complex near the Ballona Creek Bike Path. It's near several bus lines. You've got nearby elementary schools, drugstores and supermarkets.

My agent was great! but, make sure you do a walk-through of the apartment! don't get to it without seeing the apartment first so that you can get minor issues fixed before you move in. I can't emphasize this enough. I like how pet friendly the place is! Also, It's close to a Bike Trail. I like that area. My husband takes midnight walks with the dog and says he feels safe. There's plenty of parking for guests although this is L.A. so there have been car break-ins at night if you park on the street.

The Gice:
Decent sized livingroom, bedrooms.

The Bad:
Thin walls, ceilings. Noise insulation is essentially nonexistant.
Poor plumbing. Slow drains, old bathroom fixtures. Towel rods held together with Krazy Glue.

The Ugly:
Lots of idiotic, loud, rude neighbors. Also, an abundance of barking dogs who like to use the entire complex as a bathroom.
mgmt is horribly inept at dealing with problems. They refused, outright refused, to control the noise problem, even after numerous complaints, letters to the owners, calls to their ineffective security patrol, and calls to the police department (complete with police reports).

Basically, it´s like living in a dorm, except it´s more Eostly. I´m glad to be out of there.

It's a peaceful neighborhood with respectful and conscientious neighbors. The dogs are well behaved as a rule, and the owners tend to pickup after them properly. There's a number of families with kids around the neighborhood and parks, the beach, and a number of walking/ bike trails that make getting out Etraightforward?

We have lived at CDM for many years and have a strong sense of community. mgmt are responsive, cooperative but There's a lack of cohesion when it comes to individual maintenance issues especially with mgmt constantly changing?
