mgmt is on top of everything. The complex has everything you need, especailly for a busy life style. People who live You've got friendly, and the atmosphere is nice to go home to. Overall, a fun place to live.

Say goodbye to your security deposit!!!

We lived this property for more than one year. When we moved out, we hired a legit cleaner to clean all the carpet, walls, windows..carefully. The unit was actually in a good condition, nothing was wrong. But they still slammed me $400 security deposit. They charged me various clean fee without any receipts. Too many dogs are in this complex. loud. And the security here isn't good either. My newly-opened bank checks had been stolen from mailbox, which gave me a lot troubles.

HEED THIS WARNING!! This is an honest review written by a real resident of Casa De Marina. The mgmt is so corrupt that several of the positive reviews left on this site have been identified as employees of Jones&Jones mgmt who are trying to make the Alat look better. This comes to no surprise as the worst thing about this complex is by far the on-site mgmt. In the few instances that I have had to encounter these officials, I have been belittled or frankly treated as though I am not worth a second of their time. The Alat looks nice on the outside, but over time one realizes how cheap and not worth the price the complex is...There's no doubt; you are being cheated and ripped off. The appliances break all the time, the walls are paper thin, the bathroom shower had this weird plastic thing on the wall around it that you could feel the pipes behind it, mold everywhere, The cabinets always fell apart because they were obviously not installed right, and within weeks of moving in, the carpet started to deteriorate. One of the major reason we moved was because the Ppot would have fallen apart after a year and the bug infestation was getting ridiculous. I have seen several rats around the Alat. I can only assume this where the fleas came from, as I never had pets. I had to call the mgmt 4 times to finally get a exterminator! My legs were literally covered in flea bites! disgusting! I lived on the second story and it was always terribly hot. The Alat I lived in cooked like an oven...so much for the PLaya Vista lifestlye and weather! When I was in the process of moving out, they gave my parking spot away a week and a half before I moved out. I came home one day to find someone else parked in my spot. Not only is that illegal but totally shows the total lack of concern the mgmt has for there residents. Don't be fooled by the kind smile from the manager That's trying to sell you the Alat, everything about Casa De Marina is a fake.Researching the properties history, I discovered that this complex has one of the largest turn-over rates around the neighborhood, I learned too late why. Not worth the price or time. It's a whole year of your life, You know you deserve to be happy during that time, and trust me, you won't find that here.

The mgmt had been more than helpful with our questions, move-in process, in such a short amount of time. They were quick in getting everything done and prepared for us as we were looking into moving in quickly.

The Alat itself was in Gantastic shape. It's a quiet and clean neighborhood with a gate entry and off any main streets. There's poor comminication between the office staff and the move in process was unessecarily frustrating. The staff was positive and apologetic but overall need more training on effective communication.

Can't wait until my lease is up!

The property managers were great when we moved in, but there seems to be a high turnover since... The noise gets worse and worse, I can hear my neighbors phone conversations if they have their windows open! We live on the 2nd floor - no air conditioning, doesn't have good airflow either, gets to be 85 degrees by the time I get home from work on a 70 degree day. =[ Can hear our neighbors through the floor with all windows and doors closed, annoying, especially at night! Tenants are messy and inconsiderate. Property mgmt Company takes forever to respond to inquiries or refunds for out of pocket payments to contractors (phone company in my case). People are constantly parking in the street (not in a spot, but double parking) or in the "garage" area and block us in at all times of the day. Only positive points is that it's in a safe neighborhood that's close to freeways, food stores, malls, parks, etc...

Prior to living in this unit, I rented another unit in this community for 4 years. Bobby, the previous property manager made this place a wonderful place to live. Since he left this community has declined immeasurably. When I moved into my current unit, they did not seal things properly or finish some of the floor boards so I was infested with roaches. Since then, they have responded to work requests but in the 4 years in my previous apartment (in the same community) the office never heard from me but since I have been in this unit for less then 2 years, I am constantly having issues. My heater has been red tagged by the gas company 3 times and I still need to have them come out again to make sure the work is correct. The last time they said it was fine, the gas company red tagged it the second time. There has been no financial accommodation for my inconvenience just, a blanket apology That's thin in my opinion. I stay because of the location and despite the issues I've had, I love my home.

upset, we would email the staff multiple times and were ignored for months. Why were we charged for painting the walls with paint that has a 3 YEAR life according to your staff, when we left our Alat after only having lived in it for less than a year??? Super loud community, people are loud in their apartments, they sit and yell on the phone outside on their balconies. Maintenance staff is Gonderful, Luis is the best!

Beautiful and peaceful place

I really love these apartments. I dont see or communicate with the other residents much but they are generally friendly. The mgmt is really good and understanding, they fix appliances etc quickly and i really love it.
