If your thinking about moving here STOP! DO NOT DO IT! Cottage Cove management sucks they lie to get you in and once your in forget it. There is a pool here that has not worked since I've been here, they advertise brandname appliances (that are 50yrs old and dirty) they tell you they have a laundry on the property the washing machines are outside with another dryer behind some bushes and half the time the machines DO NOT WORK...REALLY!? They're are no lights on the back of the buildings.... not safe. They have a loitering problem here and a ---- load of break ins and corruptions. PEST INFESTATION (Roaches,Roaches Roaches, Rats, Lizards) A lot of straydogs... Maintenance Sucks and does not respond in a timely matter and forget trying to communicate the problem because they dont speak ENGLISH!!They raise rent every single year thats right every single year! They dont like to give back your security deposits either. The buildings are dirty and old they dont come central AC (just one wall unit) that always breaks and causes your electric bill to rocket. I can hear my neighbors take a shower and the walls are not sound proof. The pipes are old and rusted, the water comes out brown!!! The workers go into your apartment half the time without the proper notice and or by accident! (wrong address) Watch your back when you come home at night someone may be waiting to rob you! People love looking through your windows so watch out ladies! Hold on to your rent receipt because apparently they get up and walk away, they took away the rent box...why oh I wonder! Ive only been here less than a year and they are ready to raise my rent 100$. I seriously can not wait to get the hell away from this place. So long think twice before you sign!

RATS, DO NOT MOVE HERE! I currently live in Cottage cove apartments.The maintence team and management is at times unresponsive. the area is quiet for the most part but Rats are a huge problem, i'm not talking about mice but RATS. i have caught up to five rats in my unit and the property manager gave me a list of things to buy to try and get rid of them on my own. There are roaches as well. My Fridge continuously breaks and they will not give me a new fridge which cost me hundreds in wasted groceries. my assigned parking spots are next to the dumbster so when it rains the dirty water runs under the cars and leaves a horrid stinch which can become unbearable at time. There are also a number of break ins, in the apartments. The complex posted a letter on my door saying that the breaks ins have increased and that cops will patrol the units. please lock your doors at all times. The pipes are rusted and the water comes out very brown, my toilets stop working every other week. Maintenance had to remove my entire toilet to fix the pipes and the toilet still didn't work properly. The washers and dryers are located outside with no access door in or out, so you must stand by the machines the entire time. this place is not worth the money to me, save yourself the headache.

STAY AWAY FROM NE 187 ST AND NE 188ST -------- MEN ARE VERY LIABLE TO BREAK IN. STALK YOU AND YOUR SCHEDULE SO AS SOONA S YOU LEAVE THEY'LL BREAK IN YOUR HOME AND WIPE YOU OUT CLEAN!! 'DONT ASK DON'T TELL' NEIGHBORS WILL WATCH AND WITNESS AND NOT THINK TO SAY ANYTHING!! ITS AN ENTIRE CONSPIRACY!! MIGHT I ADD THE LAUNDRY FACILITIES SUCK RUBBER DUCKS!! THERE ARE A VERY LIMITED AMOUT BEHIND THE BUILDING WITH NO COVER TO PROTECT YOUR THINGS AND YOU FROM UGLY WEATHER... SO OCCASSIONALLY THE MACHINES WILL BE USELESS AND OUT OF ORDER BC SOME RESIDENT LEFT THEM OPEN AND WITH CRAZY MIAMI WEATHER IT RAINED ALL INSIDE THE MACHINES!! BUT THAT'S EVEN IF YOU EVER MAKE IT OFF YOU DOOR STEP WITH THE GIGANTIC EXOTIC FREAKY REPTILE THINGS THAT INVADED THE PROPERTY AND ARE VICIOUS!! WATCH OUT FOR SMALL CHILDREN!! BE SURE IF YOU DO DECIDE AFTER THIS REVIEW TO MOVE HERE MAKE SURE YOU GET A P.O. BOX BECAUSE YOUR MAILBOX WILL CONSTANTLY BE BROKEN INTO TIME AFTER TIME AND THE MAIL CARRIER WILL SEND EVERYTHING BACK TO SENDER!! TALK ABOUT AN INCONVIENIENCE!! I DIDNT RECIEVE MAIL FOR 2 MONTHS BC MY MAILBOX WAS BROKEN INTO AND MAINTENANCE SUCKS!! OH YEAH MAINTENANCE IS SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW AS HELL!! ALL THEY DO IS RIDE AROUND ON GOLF CART ALL DAY!! THERE ARE POOL HERE BUT DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!! THE APARTMENTS ARE SOMEWHAT NICE BUT THE INSULATION SUCKS IF YOURE GETTING A ONE BEDROOM!! THEY HAVE WALL UNIT AIR CONDITIONERS THAT DO NOT TRAVEL IF ITS A HOT DAY IN MIAMI!! TRAGIC I KNOW!! NEED NOT FORGET THE RIDICULOUS ROACH AND LIZARD INFESTATION !! AS MUCH AS I'VE SPENT ON PEST CONTROL I SHOULD'VE BEEN MOVED OUT SMH FAREWELL COTTAGE COVE!!

If you do not mind robberies, roaches, gunshots and a medical helicopter landing zone then this place is perfect. I moved in october 2012 because it was cheaper then where i had been staying and looks decent. I broke the lease and messed up my credit to do so. Truly wish i hadnt the office does not fix anything in a timely manner unless u hreaten to with hold rent some of them are very froendly but friendly dosnt silence the gunshots the burst all night. One week while i have been here three resodent had there glass sliding doors shot out and little kids were in the room that this occured. A man who had come to vist was beaten and robbed in the parking lot and apon charges being filed threatening letters were found on his door the neighbors are very kind but the roaches are gross they climb the ceilings and walls in ever room. I have never been soo disgusted in an apartment complex in my life i will say a pro is that it is fairly cheap i pay 800 including water and my electric bill is very low but there is verry little hot water and the tub does not drain at a mormal pace it takes about ten minutes to drain during a 5 minute shower!! I reccomend no one concerned with roaches and. Saftey move in here at all!!!

I've been living at Cottage Cove since November of 2010 and I absolutely love it here. PROS: The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful, maintenance work gets done pretty fast, I get my own assigned parking (my car is right by my bedroom window) plus there are guests parking to share with your neighbors, the area is well lit at night (I work overnight. So it's important for me to feel safe coming home at 4:30am and I do), inside of the apartments are gorgeous (the ouside doesn't do them justice), clean environment, very cozy apartments (they give you the "home" feeling), if you have kids, there are plenty of room outside for them to play without worrying about them being in the streets, quiet neighborhood.... CONS: If you're looking for on-site laundry, you may be dissapointed by the washer/dryer in the back of each apartment unit, there are what I call "summer bugs" (I call them that because I've been living here since Nov '10 and the didn't show up until it got hot in FL. They are tiny) and a personal con for me is all the lizards I see around my apartment (I'm deadly afraid of them!!!) All in all, these apartments are very nice and I enjoy living here more than any place I've ever rented before (I've been a renter for about 6 years). It all depends on what you're looking for.
