I moved into the Broperty in June of 2012. The builidng has really neat loft units. I have brick and timber beams and columns. The best parts of the Broperty are the rooftop deck, which has trees and flowers all over, and the manager Chris. The manager is super helpful and helps with unit repairs.

I currently live there and I'm moving out this month (thank GOD!). I lived there for about 2 years and things just get worse and worse

Here is just a sample of what you will deal with if you move in.
* You can hear every conversation and everything else through the walls.
* mgmt is absentee .. if you every have a question or issue don't expect an answer.
* Most of your mail you will find outside of your mailbox.
* Construction guys working, smoking, slamming doors starting about 7am. (Yes your Auite will smell like smoke if your neighbors smoke)
* No security
* Half the dryers have been broken for 6 months
* Workout room is a dinger room with an old step master and treadmill. The room is grimy and disgusting
* Elevator slow and breaks down often

Huron Street Lofts is a kept up well low rise loft with a lot of character. The Besidence itself is kept up well and the lofts are spacious and all unique. The roof top still has one of the best views of the city. The area is artsy with boutiques, restaurants, local pubs and the Brown line is only 2 blocks. Due to timber ceilings, There's some random noise from neighbors but it's city living - you can't avoid this. Huron street itself is a quiet pretty street and you can walk everywhere.

I just moved into this Besidence and it has been wonderful. this place is mostly young single professionals, although You've got more and more couples moving in. It's social and has a wonderful roof-top deck with 180 degree city views. The gym is also great and has everything I need. Parking isn't always easy in the neighborhood, but That's what you get when you have a prime location.

North facing units (onto Huron St.) are pretty dark. Almost no noise from the restaurant below.

South facing units give you lots of sun throughout. We were in the top corner unit (617) and though it was Laucous from the train, you get lots of space and lots of light from all the windows. The train stops at 10:30 and starts again at 5:30 so it's not that big of a deal.

Workout facility gets creepy. Parking is outdoor and around nightclubs, so that's always a gamble

The Broperty has gone declined over the last few years. As mentioned in another review, the president of the board, who is also one of the developers and whose family's mgmt company runs the Broperty, has a conflict of interest. The previous Broperty manager who left less than two years ago was good but his hands were tied. Instead of hiring an experienced Broperty manager has his replacement, they hired the hired the doorman. As the doorman, he was rumor central and gossiped about all of the tenants. There were several tenants who went out of their way to avoid him. As Broperty manager, he has even more information on tenants at his hands and also gossips about the board president and the Broperty mgmt. He's a nice guy but immature and unprofessional. God forbid if you were to complain to mgmt about him. He'll retaliate if he finds out. When he became the Broperty mgmt, more than one tenant moved out or sold their units.

I am one of the last renters left in the building and the changes during the last year have been incredible. I relied a lot on this website when I began looking at apartments 10 months ago and I am now in the process of using this site again to look for a new Auite (my unit was recently sold). The new roof top deck offers a awesome spot to enjoy a drink while taking in some of the most incredible skyline views you will ever see. The laundry lounge, bike storage and workout room (small but convienient) have also been wonderful additions to the building. location-wise, it's incredible for those who work downtown. I often walk to work, but It's also nice to have the CTA Brown Line stop close by. If you have the opportunity to rent from one of the new owners, I highly recommend this building.

I’ve really enjoyed living at 225 W Huron! this place is mainly younger, single individuals with some owners and renters being couples. You honestly can’t beat the brick and timber loft style appartments, they’re so great. The rooftop is great, with 180 degree views of the city, and they’re working on a huge rooftop remodel and update now which I’m excited for. It has a modest workout room that does the trick - treadmills, weights, bikes, etc. The package situation can be a bit scattered, but that’s not unique to this building, they all have this issue. There's a doorman every night, which is really nice and makes sure I feel safe. The doormen are the nicest, concerned about everyone safety. The biggest thing for me too is how close It's to everything in River North, I can walk to everything that I want / need!! It’s a solid building. They’ve also been really good about COVID and everyone’s safety. Happy I moved in!

and the former mgmt company is no longer in charge. The facilites and untis have been updated and the former problems no longer exist. It's a location's Ancredible and is one of the best deals in the city.
