If you are thinking about living in this building do not. The amenties are not anything with most of them not working a majority of the time. The staff that works in the leasing office are some of the most incompetent idiots I have ever spoken too. They act snide and are genuinely bad at their job largely being unhelpful if anything happens in the apartment. We have lived here for years and every person who has left has told us that management is the reason. I absolutely second that as the reason that we will be leaving this year.

Didn't give my wife & kids are deposit because they sold building to another company. Ben Lee promised we would get all of it. Unreliable & wanted a pinky promise as proof? Are you kidding. Read reddit reviews on his college protocol Benjamin Lee - Community Manager at AMLI Residential | LinkedIn Community Manager Education: Indiana Wesleyan University & Mail was delivered & left in lobby tons of packages w/ various personal information from postal workers & delivery trucks a lot of theft & smells

I lived at this location for 1 year. At the end of my lease, I was charged $120 for “dirty” doors to “paint” them. This is borderline fraudulent to call the doors dirty enough to need paint let alone charging $120 for it especially with the “photo proof” provided. I will NEVER refer anybody to Amli again, which is very unfortunate because prior to this I thought highly of Amli and would’ve sent any body looking for an apartment in the South Loop to Amli. In fact, I have already reached out to a prospective tenant to tell them not to waste their time and now I’m hoping to save at least one person from being scammed by them.

We've had an excellent experience at AMLI 900. The building is solid and well-maintained, but most importantly the staff members are what has kept us here. Cathy in the leasing office, Lezlie at the front desk, Maria with the maintenance team -- everyone is so kind and caring. If you can score an eastern facing unit, the skyline & lakefront views are just breathtaking. AMLI 900 is located near virtually every CTA L train line, Metra stations, the lakefront trail, and numerous parks. There's even a Divvy bike station right in front of the building! So many new restaurants and nightlife have popped up around this area in recent years which as made it even more attractive. Lastly, the walking proximity to grocery stores e.g. Whole Foods, Totto's Market, Trader Joe's, Target, Jewel, Mariano's.... it doesn't get better.

You can make your own judgments about the apartments if you tour them; however, I was made aware today that during tours it is not mentioned that there are 2 dedicated floors to Kasa units (aka glorified AirBNB units). Recently, they hired a security person solely for the Kasa units. Think what you want of that but I am not exactly okay with paying +/-$2,500 to, essentially, have hotel guests in the building. Kasa continued on for a huge portion of the COVID shutdown -- travelers in and out of the building from who knows where with 4 shared elevators. This is not okay. Chicago was shut down on March 21, 2020 for COVID. Yet, Chicago is on phase 4 now (today July 19, 2020) and coffee has still not been offered back even though we provide our own cups. We are the only building in the neighborhood who has done that. But yet, Kasa is still fair game. Kasa residents can use all of our amenities (including gym and parking), come to all our resident events, and bring their dogs. They are not invested in any capacity in following the rules (hence, the need for security). AMLI did not mention this decision making process with residents nor is AMLI listed as an authorized host of shared rentals via the Chicago web portal. The gross behavior of Kasa guests have made long term residents leave -- including us when our lease is up. After this post is up, I'm sure they'll comment with some version of "please email to discuss." I have. It's useless. AMLI regularly reminds us they are business and have zero desire to keep long term residents in mind.

I have lived at Amli 900 for almost 9 months and don't have one complaint. Staff is very friendly. Inside and outside of the building is always very clean! I love the location as it is close to Target, grocery stores, and restaurants!

My husband and I moved in two months ago and it has just been the best experience. All of our maintenance requests were responded to within 24 hours and they were willing to work around my crazy work schedule and gave us plenty of notice so we could kennel our protective dog. The dog park is much larger than surrounding areas and my dog loves it. The location is second to none and the facilities are top notch, but the apartment has a very homey feel that I felt was unique to other more industrial styled places. No regrets and looking forward to our next year here.

I have lived at AMLI 900 for a little over 3 years. I absolutely love it! The amenities are wonderful, the apartments are spacious, and the staff is beyond pleasant and helpful. The area is great, busy during the week and quiet enough on the weekends. There are a lot of activities and only a short walk from the lake!

We love it here! The staff and building are wonderful. The apartments are surprisingly quiet, we rarely hear any of our neighbors. The gym is great and always kept very clean. The dog park is our favorite feature and has really helped the building feel like a community for us. The staff is amazing - always super friendly and responsive. And we can't say enough about the neighborhood, it's my favorite in Chicago.

My husband and I have been here for almost 3 years. We moved here from California and couldn't have picked a better spot to call our first home :) We moving back to the west soon and are really sad about leaving this apartment! Location: the location made staying in a high rise affordable and convenient. It's super close to Target (dangerously close), walking distance to Trader Joe's, Mariano's, Wholefoods, tons of shopping spots and some really good restaurants (with new ones opening up almost monthly!) Maintenance: The maintenance guys made life so much easier! Every time we had an issue they would fix it within 24 hours (many times even within one hour). They were also super friendly and respectful of coming into our home Leasing office: The people working here changed often throughout our stay but all the agents were friendly and prompt with their responses to our emails/questions when we had any. They also organized some great events all year long for residents. Our favorite is Casino Night! Security: based on who is working there and what you want, it can be a hit or miss (e.g. if they allow a visitor to park a car outside for more than 30 mins, or let you drop off something for a friend to pick up). Other: the building amenities are amazing! It's nice getting fresh coffee daily (bring your own mug) and having access to a fully equipped gym (they have classes there sometimes too). The rooftop lounge is great too; you can rent it out or just enjoy it anytime it is not rented/booked out (which is majority of the time). We had some great wine nights there while playing pool. They also have an herb garden over the summer which is great to experiment with!! The VIEWS!! Hard to beat this and makes staying at Amli so worth it! There are lounge chairs and tables outside which can turn an okay summer day into a summer funday! The elevators can sometimes take a while (usually when one is out of order) but when they are all working (which is most of the time) it honestly isn't that bad. Amli is also a super green building and offers a breatheasy and smoke-free living.
