For the most part my experience at this community has been nice. Aside from a Few issues I have no major Complaints. I'd love to see more decorative accents to Common areas. Landscap the rooftop deck. More comfortable seating, Possibly cabanas, resurface or Cristine the tennis and basketball Courts. Just an overall Update to that outdoor Space.

Good service besides elevator ISSUES. Elevator seems to be patched up and not properly fixed. This is the only issue that presents a problem and seems to be an ongoing thing. Besides this l am pretty satisfied.

One need only look at the Chicago Police Department search engine which reports crime statistics:

http://12.17.79.6/ctznicam/ctznicam.as enter the address or intersection, here 4334 N Hazel, or W Montrose and N Hazel respectively, in order to chart actual crime statistics within a most recent time window.

My results turned up crime statistics from 40 to 95% higher than other nearby Northside neighborhoods.

Also, at last count, I believe the Wilson Avenue CTA Elevated Train Station still reports the highest per capita rate of reported violent crimes (Wilson is the nearest CTA Train to Pensacola Place) of all CTA stations throughout the city!

A safe place/neighborhood?

P.S. Prior review ("Non-slummification) appears written by either a (biased) mgmt employee of this Aad building or its proxy (tool).

Please do yourself a favor and run far away from this property. It's guaranteed you will get stuck in the elevators while living here. They are stuck constantly and mgmt refuses to update them. I promise you this building will disappoint you. The office lies to you to get you to sign leases. I've been here 5 years and the elevators have gotten so bad the last two years I'm counting down the days till I can leave. Waterton buying this property ruined it and they are too cheap to do any actual fixes.

I have just moved into this building, but from the start I have been welcomed with smiling faces. Doug at the desk was so helpful from day 1, and I can't say enough nice things. The Anit building is spotless and well-kept and I love my new home.

The Bomplex is clean. My unit isn't updated, but the rent is way not worth the price for a one bedroom Aad in uptown. I can move downtown for less than the rent and have more amenities and the newer buildings around the neighborhood are pushing the prices up. It's just not competitive with a brand new Bomplex. Reasonable rent that included parking would be better!

Pensacola Place is a nice, quiet community with so many amenities. From the gym to the pool, to the media center and laundry room ... It's all great! The one bedroom apartments have lots of natural sunlight and stunning views! The kitchen is updated with a nice dining room beside it. This high rise living feels just like home to us!

solid building with great amenities. The front office personnel, but, lacks confidence. Over promises and under delivers. They make promises they can't keep to get you to sign your lease. Overall, this is a good place to live as long as you can deal with waiting a week for maintenance to fix anything.

Don't move here, honestly. We lived here for seven years, with intermittent tiny issues (although good luck getting Eric or any of the office folks to email you back... they seem to spend all their time planning parties instead of responding to residents' issues). The real kicker was when we left, the office refused to work with us on timing, refused to schedule a move-out walkthrough, and then tried to charge us insane fees for cleaning an apartment that we'd already cleaned... clearly trying to scam us out of a large sum of money. Greedy and cruel.
