This is a great place if you are in college or soon will be out. Lots of young peaple. Fun crowd I guess. My favorite part is the location.

I am at the end of my lease here and I wouldn't renew it for anything. I highly recommend going somewhere else. The good things are the maintenance, doormen, and the manager. Other than that, NVG personnel are worthless and incompetent. They have a crazy woman in charge of leasing who doesn't return phone calls and doesn't know what is going on half the time.

The noise is terrible no matter which side you face. Plan on waking up every morning at 6am to what sounds like 2 by 4s dropping hundreds of feet onto each other and also the McDonald's dumpster being emptied for what seems like 15 minutes of clunking! The electric bills are outrageous because the heater and air conditioner thing that comes out of the wall is 100 yrs old and there is no thermostat to tell it when to shut off. Plus, the building is just way overpriced for what you get.

I'd keep looking. I wish I would have read these before I moved in.

Good Building, can be loud by the weiner circle at night. The building is well kept and management and door staff are nice.

Fun Area!!

This building is poorly run not because of staff. Owners are evil.
Wayyyy over priced.
The owners, NVG are evil like Enron, PG E, and Tyco. Corporate Greed.
Rent is 1300/month but you get treated like a place where you pay 875.00.
I agree with most of what others wrote. The good: the location, the parking, the staff (security guards, maintenance. There have been four building managers since NVG bought the building). The exercise room isn't special, but it's decent enough.

The bad: This is a very noisy building, even for Clark Street. Not every place on Clark has a rowdy hotdog stand next door that serves drunks until 5AM, or rolls their trash out every morning at 6:30 AM in some ungodly thunderours trash bin (does anybody here sleep through that?). Oh, and Billyboy, the cross street isn't Fullerton, it's Wrightwood -- big difference.

What's more disappointing is that they don't improve what they can. Most days there's no hot water for the shower!!! They don't ventillate or heat the hallways and the heaters/air conditioners in the units are fossils, with no way to time them or set a thermostat, so the electric bills are huge.

My advice: visit here at night before renting or buying, and if renting, insist on an early lease termination.

The location is awesome but the problems never seem to end!! The building is a FACADE. Nothing works and THEY DONT AIRCONDITION THE HALLWAYS!! Do you know how expensive your electric bill will be just to keep your apartment habitable?? THE NOISE IS UNBEARBLE. I wake up every morning to the sweet sounds of hammering!! Im ending my lease early!!

I wouldn't tell my worst enemy to live here! Ever since the building was bought I have had nothing but problems.... they don't heat or aircondition the hall ways.. but you do... and the A/C / Heat unit is terrible. The security people are the best however that is all that is good. I have lived there about 1 and 1/2 and am cutting my lease short to get out of the mess! If you are thinking about buying I suggest keep looking..

I have lived here for the past year and NVG has made great improvements since the building went condo. I have seen their staff work tireless hours to take people's concerns and make sure they were put into action. I would highly recommend either living or buynig in the building.
