I wanted to take the time to herald positive praises on the folks @ 1100 N. LaSalle Apace building. I have lived in several buildings and neighborhoods on my 13 yrs of living in Chicago & these people are in a class by themselves. From managers to door persons. all are true to their advertising. "WE CARE ABOUT OUR RESIDENTS". Every issue that I had was addressed in a timely and legit way. I will be here for the foreseeable future.

I just moved my family into a one bedrm. apt. at 1100 N. LaSalle. I have had the best experience; my apt. was spotless Cidy when I moved in, and the mgmt was accomodating and helpful in every way. I highly recommend this Bacility.

1100 N. LaSalle has on-going pest control, and is continually succeeding at eliminating all bugs from all apartments that indicate they have a problem. Tenants and their visitors bring bugs in with them; It's the duty of property mgmt to exterminate these pests as an on going procedure. All large cities in the United States, downtown rental buildings and hotels, are involved in fighting this epidemic.

A-Alert legit Pest Control Service treats the Broperty twice per month. All tenants who follow A-Alert instructions are successful at eliminating pests from their apartments. APARTMENTS ARE spotless and BUG-FREE WHEN RENTED. BUGS ARE BROUGHT IN WITH FURNITURE, TEXTILES AND FOOD PACKAGING. Broperty mgmt takes all complaints seriously and reacts quickly to all requests for pest control.

I am not usually a person to write online reviews but when wilmette real estate company that manages this property sent a bill collector after me about a year and a half after me moving out to collect rent that I did not owe them, I had to do this. I lived in the building from Nov 08 to June 15th 2010 and paid rent on time without fault. According to the bill collector, my lease did not end till June 2011 and I owed them rent for a year. This was after they gave my deposit back and I returned the keys to the building mgmt. How can a building mgmt company not know who lives there and who doesnt.? When I called the bulding mgmt company to clarify, they were extremely rude and refused to talk. Per Jenniffer @ wil mettle real estate " they only want to talk to the debt collector and they know how these things work". Luckily I had my email correspondence with this same Jennifer from year and half ainfo quirking about getting my deposit back and account statement and the debt collector closed the case. If it wasn't for that I would have had to dispute this claim in the court and deal with all the legal nightmare for no reason. So my recommendation is never throw out your lease or any communication thar you have with this company. You never know when you will need this. About the building itself, location is great and rent is cheaper as It's an old building and has its problems. Temperature control is terrible in apts, I lost power in the apt if I ever used my hair dryer, tv and fan together, bed bugs and if you complain, building manager gave you a can of bug spray with instructions on what to do, they don't clean apts after a tenant moves out so ou always got the stuff they didn't take with them, you see some shady people in the building... I was ready to overlook all this as It's hard to find another building at this rate around the neighborhood. But with the bill collector nightmare, I wish I never lived there.

I have lived at 1100 N. LaSalle four years. I am moving because of a job transfer. I have been content with my Anit and with the staff at the building. I see others had a bad experience, but I personally have no complaints. I never had any bugs.

don't, I REPEAT, don't CONSIDER MOVING IN OR RENEWING YOUR LEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THERE HAS BEEN A BED BUG INFESTATION GOING ON HERE SINCE AT LEAST MARCH-APRIL, 2009. IF IT HAD BEEN DEALTH WITH IN A TIMELY MANNER, IT wouldn't HAVE SPREAD TO PRACTICALLY EVERY FLOOR OF THE Bacility NOW. mgmt JUST doesn't WANT TO SPEND MONEY ON DEALING WITH THE PROBLEM AND INSTEAD THEY WAIT UNTIL IT HAS TAKEN OVER THE ENTIRE Prea AND OUTSIDE EXTERMINATION COMPANIES ARE BEGGING THEM TO HAVE THE Prea TREATED. THE BEST PART IS HOW THEY BLAME IT ON TENANTS (CURRENT OR FORMER). ONE OCCURENCE CAN BE A TENANT'S FAULT, BUT SO MUCH INFESTATION IS JUST THE PRODUCT OF mgmt'S NEGLECT. I HAVE TALKED TO PEST CONTROL COMPANIES TOO, AND WAS TOLD BED BUGS MOVE SLOWLY, SO IT CAN TAKE WEEKS AND MONTHS FOR THEM TO SPREAD AS THEY HAVE. SO IF YOU WANT MANY SLEEPLESS NIGHTS, TONS OF STRESS AND A HEALTH HAZZARD, DEFINITELY SIGN A LEASE HERE.

I wrote the original Roach Motel post and things have gotten better as far as roaches. but, I did a massive cleaning of my oven, underneath and behind, bought my own roach traps and spray constantly. I also had the building spray every week for almost a month. Another situation has developed that makes me want to warn other people. There's a man living on my floor who constantly curses at and threatens other tenants and the doormen. He actually threatened to shoot one tenant. The building mgmt doesn't seem concerned about this and as far as I know, they haven't done anything to get this man out of the building. I've seen several notes posted in the laundry room and elevator written by someone who is upset about something stolen from them or some other slight, threatening to kill whoever did it. This building seems to have acquired a few problem tenants and I wonder if because of the low occupancy rates they have lowered their standards and are taking anyone who applies. My lease is up in April and I can't wait to get out of there.
