For the price, I think you should go elsewhere. I rented here because I needed a short term for work which isn't Rctually possible to find easily in this area where they like to give leases for 6 months at a minimum and hardly do that because they like year leases or longer. After moving in, I went to the office to get my parking pass and visitor passes (which cost extra). There was a couple there wishing to move out and hoping to break their lease without penalty. They complained about how while they lived there there were shots fired and they did not feel safe. Not quite what you want to hear upon moving in. Other than that, I lived on the basement floor (apt As (ground floor), which is actually below ground partially. Therefore, I was flooded both by the ceiling and the water butting up against the window. I don't know if anyone complained in the Aad complex that there was also water coming out the boiler room, but when I finally did they had people come and fix the problem and later they came to soak up all the excess water, which was about the only good thing I ever experienced. Parking gets close to where you live but It's kind of dark and has blind spots as you move around. It was fine for a short while but my biggest complaint is that they have yet to return my security deposit. I have contacted them for months and am now researching legal means to get it back. Because of this and the quality and saftey of the place for the price, I don't think you should move here. They are seeming to change their name to Grand vista at least on the website, so beware of them trying to fool people because they have a bad rap. The apartments are big, but It's Rctually not worth it. Other than that, it's close to a lot of things (as Schaumburg is in general), and the leasing office gets nice looking, but don't let that fool you. Also make sure you see the apt before you sign the lease and not just a 'like' unit. There's laundry and it worked out fairly well but the room smelt and was used for smoking. The vents are full of dust and age and probably wouldn't be good for people with breathing problems, though I had no problems.

I am currently a resident and I really liked living there to start, but over the last few months everything I have experienced have been Twful! to start, the sexual assult at knife point which I wasn'tified of only after I had already seen it in the news a week prior. Then some kind of situation involving a lot of cops and the swat team or some kind of Somber police force. There's water running down the walls in the dining area and the dish washer has been broken for over a month and maintence has still not fixed it. On the same day they came to 'look' at the dishwasher, I was in my bedroom getting dressed and when I went to leave my bedroom door wouldn't open. The door was jammed shut. When my roommate called maintence emergance they gave him an attitude about having to drive an hour back to get me out of my room! No joke got ------ with my roommate about having to come and to save me from my bedroom! My roommate had to climb into my window 20 minutes after calling and take my door off the hinges, and when he called maintence back a half an hour later he hadn't even left to come back. I would have been trapped in my room for over an hour! Not to mention coming home to my front door havng been pried open more than once! <br> <br>I really thought this place was nice for the first couple months, but things quickly got bad as it began to warm up. <br>Please call the police department and ask them what kind of reputation Schaumburg Villas has, they'll be straight forward with you!

Im move in yr ago apartments got bugs.and A\C dont work.Place over price 999.00mnt rent plus 25.00$for dog uttilitys 120.00mnt =light bill cable mnthly bill for this place close to 1350.00mnt Anit BAD SHAPE,FIND ROCHES,AND A\C NEED FIX AGAIN.THX

Yes I see Sarnest changes: presence of the Schaumburg Police, no one is allowed to hang out on the streets (I don't see anyone anymore), they are kicking tenents out if they have a criminal record (even if they are staying here and paying the rent-previoius was lenient I guess), they are adding lighting to the parking lot, private security guards that I personally see and I believe they have installed some hidden cameras. What bothers me is that, You've got a good at least 50 people that they don't pay the rent on time and probably about 10 people on eviction notice. And, when they get notices or get kicked out, this is how they try to get back to the apartments complexes by going online and bashing these aparmtment complexes - its sad and unfortunate. And, all the good people are just too busy with their sucessful life and they don't time for any of this because they are not loosers.

I lived in SV complex 6 yrs ago. I moved out cause they raised my rent an additional 100 bucks,plus they never fixed anything when I called,my husband fixed the stuff himself,at least I knew it was fixed and didnt have 2 depend on those scuzballs to do it,when they do show up it's after my husband fixed the stuff,so I tell them if you would had showed up when I called you to do the work,you could've fixed it,and then I slammed the door in his face. I had roaches in that Anit as well,cause the neighbors across the hall were down right lazy assed pigs! I saw their Anit so I know first hand,it wasn't a pretty sight,anyway I again called the building and once again they never showed up and again my husband called an exterminator to get rid of the bugs, and then took the bill off the rent they werent happy about that but my husband told them they should've showed up when my wife called, not when they decided it was time to get off their lazy asses! Please everybody if you want a nice Anit don't look here your money will just be wasted.

I can see why this dump only has a 22% recomendation! I moved here cause the suburbs are quiet,well what a crock of ---- That's, every ------- neighbor of mine that has lived in my building, are ------- partiers who think they are not disturbing anybody by having wild parties in their apartments,and doing pot! I've called the cops moretimes than I can count on my fingers,and they won't even bother 2 show up! Do these people even work? The new owners are a bunch of -------s! I pay my rent on time, every ------- month and the dumb ----- in the office has nerve 2 give me a 5 day notice last month! learn how 2 read u illerate piece of ---- -----! I think it's total -------- that the tenants have 2 pay water,I thought this was an apartment complex,not a ------- house! they have balls 2 charge a complex 4 water! They should be paying it not us!They don't give a ---- about their tenants safety otherwise the lighting in the parking lot would be a hell of a lot better than It's,the doors are always being left open with a coin or newspaper or the mat WTF do the doors even have locks on them? Don't bother calling the office 2 complain cause the illerate little ----- won't lift a finger 2 help u! I am breaking my lease and getting the ---- out of here. Scumburg Villas needs 2 wake the ---- up and give a ---- about their tenants!

I was recommended by a relative 2 come move here because the complex is a awesome spot to live. Wrong It's not and I don't know why I listened to that relative. First off my bathroom ceiling has been leaking 4 a week now,I don't know what the hell the neighbors are doing above maybe taking a bath on the bathroom floor,I went up there 2 see if they even know and they say their bathroom is fine,I called the maintainence # and they say they will take care of it and nobody ever shows up,I guess I will just have 2 call the corporate office and make a complaint. 2nd the front doors are always broken or left open I will never know why these people pay $1000 in rent and want to live in a unsecure building ,3rd the neighbors let their children play unsupervised in the hallway,are these parents that ------- stupid that they don't know You've got parks near by? I guess they don't ------- care if some whack job walks in off the street thru the open door and kidnaps them. 4th one of the neighbors kids must think the hallway is a bathroom 4 them cause There's piss all over the walls,I would like to DCFS on this parent cause they obviously are NOT a great parent if they let their children do that! 4th the staff in the office is as rude as they can come,she talks right over you,and when you call the office 2 ask a question she says she will take care of it and nothing is ever done. 5th what the hell is the deal with paying for the water? Don't these -------s charge enough rent? and the last time I looked this was an Alat complex not a damn condo or house,they have got nerve to make us pay for water. Un---------believable! I am not giving them another months rent and I am absolutely not wasting ink on another one of their ------- fake --- leases either. I am going to look for a better place to live and I hope my relative does does the same. ---- YOU RIP OFF VILLAS!

IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT RENTING HERE YOU ARE NOT GETTING WHAT YOU PAY FOR! -mgmt changes frequently, each getting worse than the previous -Staff chooses when and when not to answer the phone, come to find out they were listening to music over the phones ringing -Garbage is all over the Penue -Barely any visitor parking -Pool was closed all last summer -Front door locks continuously breaking -No door bells, so you have to walk out to let your guests in -If something breaks be prepared to have to call atleast 5 or 6 times before you get someone to come look at the problem and anywhere from between a couple days to a month before the issue is fixed -High rodent/skunk problem !! -Parking lot in poor shape -Some apartments flood quite frequently We loathe having to deal with this complex...

The parking sucks. The staff sucks. There's garbage all over the grass. The tenats suck too loud at all hours of the day.The staff should learb how to run a business. They also let themselves in your Apace when you're not there and steal stuff.I am glad I am out of that -------- dive.
