Honestly 1401 S. State is the most straightforward, no nonsense, genuine rental property that I’ve ever had the pleasure of renting from. Love the neighbors, love the location and love love the management.

I dont even know where to start on this place. The mgmt is terrible. No one in the front office knows anything. They will all tell you something different. As for the other post on here about the people... AMEN!!! The people who live here are terrible. I agree completely on how these people can afford to live here. They trash the whole building. Out trash chute is disgusting on our floor. People put nasty food, furniture and junk on the floor. They dont even bother putting it in the chute!!!! The dog run is so disgusting. Our dogs got so sick from going out there that we had to quit taking them there. The front door staff is NEVER at the front door. You always have to go downstairs to get your delivery food. The apartment appliances SUCK. Dont even try to turn your oven on. The fire alarm goes off when you turn your oven on. There's no ventalation except for a 1 window that only opens about 6 inches. The dishwasher is about the cheapest model available. It never works. The walls are painted with one flat coat over the sheetrock with flat paint. If you get a mark on the wall when you wash it the paint comes off and sheetrock is showing. They have gone through 2 Managers, 3 different leasing agents, 2 different door staff. The parking garage is small and the spots are even smaller. We are so upset that we moved here. When you come to lease they paint this great picture of how great It's. We have been trying to get out of our lease for over 4 months. Just so you know if you move here and you want to break you lease you will have to shell out about $8000.00. That's no joke.. They say they are giving you these "concessions" off your rent. They say that theses apartments should rent for $1900.00 a month. YEAH RIGHT!!!! But they are going to rent it to you for $ 1600.00 PLUS 225.00 for parking. So if you try to move they want you to pay back all that money they gave you off of your rent. BUT in reality they have NEVER rented an apartment here for a 12 month lease for $1900.00! I hope that someone finds this useful. If I had read anything like this before I moved here, I wouldnt have had to go through everything we have had to.

Feedback: I would suggest making it a requirement that residents wear face mask while on the elevator. It shouldnt be an option given the rise in COVID cases, and residents are unable to keep a 6 feet distance on the elevator?

Compared to other modern Anit buildings, all the apartments are larger when compared to other buildings, including studios, 1BR, 2BR and penthouse units. In addition, the staff is amazing and helpful.

My experience started off positive and I loved the units that I had toured, however, when I was finally able to see images of the unit I would be living in, I was disappointed as there were certain features I was expecting to have that were not present. I understand that miscommunications happen, but the leasing agent was reluctant to admit any fault or try to propose any resolutions to make up for some of the misleading details I was given.

Compared to other modern apartment buildings, all the apartments are larger when compared to other buildings, including studios, 1BR, 2BR and penthouse units. In addition, the staff is exceptional and very helpful.

The best part is the apartment style and the interior design, dog friendly apartments and stuff really has my heart and I love it here, really. I am excited for more 6 months and also to be a part of this community.
