I just moved into The Shoreham not too long ago because of a job transfer. I needed a place asap, and everyone here was really helpful and made my transition much better than anticipated. It's a great place to live, and having all my bills included is also a plus...not to mention all the amenities!

I can't complain about the Shoreham at all. The noise others complained about, is no problem (maybe I have just great neighbors), I can hear the front door of my neighbor closing but that's about it.

Still having a nice view of Lake Michigan (apartment with E/S view), top-to-floor windows and lot's of light in the apartment I just cannot complain.

The facilities are nice (whirlpool, billiard table, large fitness center, outdoor pool), clean and fun to use, doormen are really friendly.

The location is great. Close to Michigan Avenue and the Loop, a bus stop one block away, a little park in front of the house but still in a relatively quiet area with hardly any traffic (mainly cabs and delivery services).

The only point to complain about is the smoke detector which they placed like five feed away from the stove (no thinking done here at all!!!) and which goes off regularly (a LOT of noise, not really fun for your neighbors if you are baking waffles at 6 am)

I've read the reviews, and I have to say that I cannot agree with what most people are saying. I recently moved into the building and was very pleased with the entire moving process. My leasing agent was very professional and was able to answer all of my questions. Since moving in, I have had no problems and the door staff are nice and helpful. I love the area and the building.

You literally can hear your upstairs neighbor flushing toilets...not a pleasant sound!

The amenities are nice, but the fact that we can't control our housing temps are burdensome.

If you are looking for peace and quiet inside your apartment, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE!

When I moved here in September, 2005, I didn't mind paying nearly $2600 a month for one of the top floor 2 bedroom apartments with an absolute
fantastic view of Lake Michigan, Oak Street beach, Navy Pier, etc. However, that has all changed with the towering condos they are building. Soon I will have a view of a living room of the new condo that was just finished.

The staff is great and Debbie Graf is very professional.

Walls are not sound proof and you will hear every bass note from your neighbors stereo. For what they charge - they sure built this and the condos going up very CHEAP! and cut corners everywhere they could.

I feel sorry for the people purchasing the condos on how they are built compared to City Center, etc.

You can do a lot better renting or buying for this price!
