I’ve been living here at Village on the Lake now for 18 months - and I absolutely love it! My first level one bedroom one bath unit has a large living room and dining area and the kitchen is perfectly-sized! The appliances are relatively modern (microwave, stovetop and oven, dishwasher, washer and dryer and HVAC unit) and work really well. And I really liked the “gated community” feel - two remote-controlled gates provide secure access into and out of the complex - I really liked this feature! My unit looks out on a beautifully-cared for green park-like area with lots of trees and lovely landscaping (the grounds maintenance crew are top notch and keep the place looking fantastic!). I have had minor maintenance repairs to my unit AND the maintenance crew to a person are fast, responsive, and incredibly kind and courteous - they really care about the place! I use the fitness gyms (2) almost daily (treadmills, free weights, etc) and love all three pools (lap pool and Infinity pool in Phase 1 and the Phase 2 pool). Village on the Lake is less than a mile from NASA 1 (walking distance) and about 2 miles from Bay Area Blvd which has oodles of restaurants, markets, CVS, watering holes (McIntyres, Nobi, Saloon Door), dry cleaners - tons of amenities that are 2 minutes away! I am a cyclist and love the easy access to miles and miles of riding options! Tenants here are super diverse, super friendly, respectful, and helpful! The Leasing Office/Maintenance Admin team led by the Site Manager Lori is superb - they are very responsive and sincerely interested in making things right! This team also coordinates frequent food truck nights and activities on-site! I really can’t say enough good things about this place! Yes, there are raccoons (keep your distance and they will keep theirs, don’t leave trash/food around, etc), other critters and bugs - you’ll find those everywhere and they are manageable. Everybody has different priorities but for me, this place is 5 stars!

Greystar Property Management Village on the Lake Apartments Taylor Lederer | Community Support Specialist, Greystar APEX Greystar Griselda Rodríguez | Leasing Manager | Dale Carnegie Advanced Sales Certified I wanted to write this review to point out how VILE and EVIL individuals can be for no reason at all. And I want to point out in the beginning so it doesn’t get lost in this correspondence, that Taylor Lederer is one of the most unpleasant individuals that I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with in my entire life. This is all her doing. I moved into Village on the Lakes apartment community several months ago. I fell on hard time, actual at the fault of the complex through the loss of my job, which I will detail in my next post. I was unable to pay my rent in February so I turned to my church for assistance. On the 7th of February I received a 30 day pay or move, which expired on the 7th of March. I went through the process and required from the apartment complex a W9 for tax purposes for the church to approve the funds. I proptly received this document and my church approved the funding on the 17 if February. However, they came back and said the fund were approved but they needed a 2024 W9 as opposed to a 3203 form. I was assured by Taylor that he would get it from Griselda and send it. I waited a day or two and asked for the form. I didn’t receive a response. I literally sent email every day begging for this document. I received responses such as it would be sent first thing Monday morning and they would have to get it from their accountant to totally ignoring my emails. This went on for laterally weeks. Meanwhile, the 3o day window of time was ticking down. I sent exasperating emails leading up to finally on the 6th of March, I sent an email in all caps, “are you guys literally just not going to respond?!?!?” My Deacon stepped in at this point and they finally responded to him. They said, “can you just use the 2023 on for now until we can get you the 2024 version. Of course he said no, we’ve been asking for the 2024 version for weeks now. Late that evening they finally sent the correct document. On the 6th of March, on the 7th of March, the very next day, they filed for eviction with the courts. They had a guarantee of payment since the 17th of February. So now, I’m facing eviction court next week. And she actually has the check now but says she won’t apply it to my account because this will mess up the eviction proceedings. This will be an ongoing post to keep the public abreast on how this turns out. My next post might be from a homeless shelter, the streets, who know. I will be posting this and updates to all of my social media accounts. I have snail mail to the regional corporate offices, but if anyone has email addresses, please attach them to this feed. Also, I plan to write to the media because I feel that bad behavior should be called out if it’s by way of a company or an individaul acting on behalf of a company to do harm to anyone. To purposefully try to make someone homeless I find is an egregious act and should not be taken lightly. Please chime in with your thoughts and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!

The roof is hideous and needs to be cleaned I'm tired of looking at it! Where does our money go if not to maintain the beautiful space this once was? They have really let it go and it's covered in algae!

If you are trying to get away with identity theft look no further you hit the jackpot with this place.....You can use anyone's social security number to apply and get an apartment here regardless if you have any of the other matching information....

It looks pretty from the outside but the apartments are outdated from the 80s with paper thin walls. I could hear doors slamming, garage doors opening, people stomping up stairs and yelling, it was awful. Sleep deprived the entire time I lived there and moved out as soon as lease was up. AC smelled like mould and it took three requests to fix and my power bill was still twice as much as living in a house for a 1-bedroom apartment. Skip this place!

The staff is amazing. I lived here 3 years and they always would help me, even with personal issues. I would highly recommend to liver here. The lake is amazing to fish at. The pools are always kept to perfection. If I did not move into a house, I would still be living here. Thank you staff:]

There is a complete lack of safety in this complex. The public swarms to the property to use the pools and the lakefront and management does nothing about it. Break-in occur because of all the strangers on the property. If you speak with the manager about the problems, she will complain to you about how frustrated and unhappy she is, yet she does nothing to fix the problem. She will direct you to confront people yourself (which is not safe), or to call the police, but NOT to call her. Ask the local police department for a call log, they will provide you with a list of all the calls to the police regarding this property and what the call was in regards to. You will see for yourself.

The complex is gorgegous but too much miscommunication in the front office. If I was to tell you what happened to us, you would simply say, discrimination. Try contacting Corporate and all you get is run around. Parking is a disgrace here and the rules are not justifiable. All I can say is be careful when deciding to move here.

I am a former resident of Village on the Lake and I can honestly say I had a wonderful experience. My home was always quiet, the location was near everything I needed and the property was always looking beautiful- VERY well maintained. The pools were great and the fitness centers were nice- even had a stair master, which most apartment gyms do not have. The lush landscaping created a resort style feeling and the staff was very accommodating. Maintenance always completed work orders in a timely manner. If you are looking for a nice place in clear lake- Village on the Lake is the answer.

Beyond the beauty of the landscaping, lake and resort like swimming pools, is the responsive staff and maintenance team. Something broken, needs replacing? Make the call and usually within hours the job is done. Just the BEST!
