I admit i have only lived here for a couple of months but Laura and her staff have made every effort to make me feel welcome, safe and comfortable. Hope they dont tear this place down.

I have lived here since January of 2005. I was originally in the 2 bedroom townhouse ($850) and then since moved to the one bedroom($655).
I have lived in several parts of Houston in several apartment complexes. I have been so happy living here. It's close to town, the price is great, and management and maintenance is impeccable. I have always been treated as their number one customer.
I would definately recommend living here and am sad I must move.

In response to the person writing the "book" about how bad the experience is at Time Square:

I lived at these apartments for almost two years and have never been so impressed by a manager's follow-through and helpfulness. I would challenge this resident to find a better value in the Galleria area. Any place you go to will have the occassional mixups but I think at some point you have to look at the big picture. Nice place. Nice price. Friendly management. I don't think this person could ever be satisfied with anything. There were many contradictions during this ranting and to accuse a person of being bipolar because of your not being satisfied with the timeliness of the response is rude and ridiculous.

I am only a temporary resident, but so far i'm impressed. If i could afford the 1 bedroom rates, its seemingly a good place. No problems with the pool - it is nice and deep too. The unassigned parking is tough to get, but if you are a permanent resident you get an assigned parking space in the gated area which hasn't been difficult to get so far. Management has been very good about receiving our packages so far, but as I said, i'm only a temporary resident. The grounds are nice and protected - crime doesn't seem bad and the complex is nice and small so more easily controlled. I must say, comparatively this place is great - i've been looking for affordable places for 2 weeks now and its slim pickings to avoid ------ - so if you can afford this slightly more expensive than average for the single gal, I say go for it. Any problems you do have, will probably be relatively minor in comparison to the damage you could suffer other places.

Laura was great help to us. Being a small property this place was ver attentive to our demands. Although me and my wife stayed here for less than 6 months due to my job, i would have loved to stay here for as long as i could if i hadn't have to move to Chicago.
I think this place is great and it's not jsut my opinion, while seated in the office i saw many residents come in with issues and saw how nicely Laura handled them and gave special consideration to each one. Always felt great when they recognized you when you came to pick up packages. If you got a job close to downtown and are looking to rent i would highly reccomend it, close to all shopping areas and oh so good if your office is downtown. Rent is great..beleive me..now in Chicagto i am paying 400$ more for same size apartments.Sure there have been theft issues here but hey..those could happen in your home too. but overall two thumbs up.

Small Complex, Bi-polar Management - Think Hard

This is our third apartment in Houston. When looking for this one we really wanted something nice. When viewing the property the manager was really nice and helpful. I must say that management really sold me on the apartment (I think her name was Susan). She was funny and seemed really nice, and we just came from a poorly managed property so it gave us a sense of security.

We decided to go with the two story townhouse that was located in the drive way to the complex. There is a fence separating the complex so only people with keys could actually get in the property. There is also parking right out front so you can park your car in front of your complex but it is not an assigned space so anyone can park there, we could understand that.

Well, let me start off with the good things about this complex. 1) The apartment was pretty nice, I think we had the biggest unit and paid the highest price ($990/mth) which was the most we had ever paid for an apartment for that time. 2) The pool was ok when it was clean (was not clean for a while and hot tub was broken for a while) and deep (9ft I believe). 3) The apartment was nice and clean when we moved in, carpet was taken care of and no bad paint.

Ok, I know that was short but that is all there was. The problems started on day 1 - "The Move In". We signed the lease about 3 weeks prior to us moving in. We had requested that an extra cable outlet be put in the second bedroom and was told it would be no problem at the time. I wanted this because I was getting a cable modem and that bedroom was going to be the office. A couple of days before we moved in we got the keys and questioned her about this but she said she would have it done. On our move in day I asked about this and the nice and friendly person that I remover turned Bi-Polar and turned on me like a savage dog on Old Yeller. She haistly informed me that it was not their job to do this and she would have it done at her convenience. A few days later after we moved in they installed an outlet after much work to get it done.

The apartment like many came with a fridge, we had problems with 3 of them, each time the fridge was not keeping cool and we lost all of the food or were putting things in a cooler to save them until they bought us a new fridge. While this was done usually within a day or so we went through three fridges, when the third one started to act up she did not believe us and wanted to come over and see for herself. We finally got a working fridge on our fourth attempt, she did try and make good and buy the food that we lost which was taken off of our rent, but it still put a sour taste in our mouths over the time lost going to the store and replacing food.

Our neighbor´s we aparently rock ´n roll fanatics because they liked to pump their stereo loud at night and on the weekends, I understand that this is not the property´s fault but we complained several times to no help, we had called the PD twice and even went over once but they would not answer their door. I have a massive stereo but do not play it loud because I have respect, one night we were fed up with it while trying to watch a movie and turned our stereo on about half way, I think they got the picture and turned their stereo down. The people across the way from us looked like they were dealing drugs, one of their cars was very beat up (looks like they ran it into a pole or someone beat it with a bat) and there was a lot of in and out traffic and people arguing all the time that we could hear in our apartment. People jumped the fence to get to their apartment and it really bothered us, it was not hard to tell something was just not right over there.

Parking was a trouble spot also. You are assigned one space that is covered and they have parking that is not covered for your other vehicles. They only issued two tags so you could only park two cars in the back (we have two). When we first moved in our space was occupied by another car and we had to park in the non-secure parking lot. The second day that it was parked there we left a note that we will have their car towed that night if it was not moved. We also complained to the front office who said they would take care of it, the same day the apartment complex called us and said they had accidentally assigned the space to two people, we were given another space but I am sure the other car owner was not happy, neither were we. The parking lot that is for residences was not big enough and they did not enforce their towing rules, there were always´s cars parked back there without parking stickers and we complained but nothing happened. My car was parked one day in our assigned covered space and they put a big sticker on the front of my windshield (which is illegal) informing me that my car would be towed because the expiration tag had expired. I complained to the front office about this and they said it was stated in their lease agreement (which I verified) but did say it would not happen again, about a week later they did it again and I was furious, management did not seem to care. They would not tow cars that were illegally parked but wanted to tow mine because the sticker was expired. One day we came home and there were no parking spaces, in the front or back only on the street which was not secured at all. You also got remotes to the fence that did not work until you got out of your car and went up to the fence, this was fixed after several months but should have not taken that long. The gates were often broken and could be pushed open very easily.

I could go on but am tired of typing. The apartments are nice but unless they fix their bi-polar management I do not recommend them. I did send letters to TAA and the housing commission as well as the property owners, I think the one to the property owners made a slight difference, she just started to ignore us and dodge us when she saw us coming. On a last note, when you did need management they would leave early, arrive late, and take lunch breaks. We once had a package come for us and it was time sensitive that we did not get for several days because if one person went on lunch they closed shop. Enjoy the review!
