Tenant Reviews for 5300 S LAKE HOUSTON PKWY

I am currently thinking of moving here but there are no current reviews and past reviews are horrible. Is there anyone currently living in any of the apartments that wouldn't mind sharing their experience? I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you in advance.

Diane Is A Racist & A Crook! I honestly don't understand why she haven't been Arrested! I loved in UV up until the time when I was "Out Of The Country" on vacation & she let herself into my apartment and photographed a cigarette butt in an ashtray. When I got back home, she filed an eviction notice, saying I violated my lease by smoking in my unit. A cigarette butt in an ashtray is insufficient proof that a person smoked in the unit. I smoked on my balcony, and would bring my ashtray indoors when I finished. Chances of finding a cigarette butt in an ashtray of a smoker are ridiculously high. Diane deliberately set me up because I wouldn't Bow Down! She talk to people like they're Sh"t. An I for one, am not going to tolerate anyone talking to me like a child nor like I'm Stupid. When she realized that "I Ain't The One" she began to aggressively agitate me at every encounter; in hopes that I would become beligerent and give her just cause to end my tenancy. When she saw that I wasn't going to Fall For The Okay Doke, she Orchestrated my eviction. With the help of Bernadine, who is extremely threatened by her. Those people in that office are Sad. It's a damn disgrace that those type of individuals get to play God in people's lives. Not only that, but they Totally Enjoy It. But God don't like ugly. It wasn't a month after I moved that Hurricane Harvey tore through there and nearly wiped Uvalde Ranch CLEAN OUT. Run Not Walk Away from that Hell Hole as Fast As You Can. Those people are a Disgrace! No lie.

I moved in here knowing they did not give deposit back, so I never bothered asking for it when I moved out. 2 months later, I received a bill from them asking for compensation for “Make Ready Work” amount of $900+. If not paid in 10 days it will be sent out for collection agency. Needles to say I will not be paying As these claims are fraudulent and disputable. I lived here for 5 years. In the first month there had my truck stolen ( yet to be recovered , police report on file) and my other vehicle was broken into 6 times( at this point why bother telling office) over the course of stay. Was assaulted once ( police report on file) thank God for childhood self defense classes. Trash everywhere. Gunshots at night. No Security. No Cameras. Night Lighting Works Half of The Time So Often Dark at Nights.Stay Away.

I’ve only been here a year and wanted to leave in the middle of my lease but i couldn’t because i didn’t want to ruin my chance of getting a better apartment. The lady diane in the office is VERY rude! They never answer the phone nor emails. They do not fix the apartments for new tenants. everything in my apartment is old, beat up and infested with roach poop!! Whatever you try and do to get them away they’ll go to the next apartment then come back to yours. when i first walked in my apartment, i seen a baby roach but i didn’t think nothing of it. Months go by i’ve seen eggs and poop everywhere they shouldn’t be. Pest control come out every week but only spray in places they want to. If something is wrong with your apartment the office will take days to put in a request and say “they didn’t see it” every time you call, they on “lunch” .. there not cameras in back so majority of the cars are getting stolen and all they say is “call the cops” they won’t get involved in nothing that’s not dealing with you paying something. save your time and money don’t come here. the units are very small. the paint comes off as soon as you wipe it, they don’t give deposits back

---------. the ---------. Lady. That work in the leasing office she is very Rude , to. Residents in person and over the phone .---------. And office STAFF mistreated. Residents and descriminates. ------ and. --------- senior. Citzens.

I currently live here but will not be renewing my lease. First of all there is a electrical short in my apt that has been an ongoing issue since I moved here; the lights in the kitchen, dining room and living room don't work regardless of changing bulbs. I have called before but they kinda blow it off and I'm tired of trying to make them fix it. Another thing is roaches omg they are so many, I can't even use my coffee machine without worrying about roaches getting in there. Make sure to clean cabinets frequently because you will see roach poop accumulate there. If you do have to move in here because on limited income the pest control they offer don't work but I have been ordering a roach gel from amazon that works pretty good it's called advion gel bait. Another thing is that the walls are super thin so you can hear everything that goes on and if you have loud neighbors then I'm sorry invest in earplugs cuz it's not going to get better. Oh and there's always someone smoking weed making the whole floor smell bad. And the elevator in building 1 where the one bedrooms are at is broken and has been since hurricane harvey. If they do manage to fix it again I hope they completely fix it because before harvey it was breaking down all the time. The hallway on the 2nd floor seems to be caving in to watch out. Oh and people always leaving their trash bags on the stairwell. There really isn't a gate to come in since the storm. The first floor units haven't been repaired completely after harvey so there's that. The maintenance guys are pretty friendly and try to fix things. If you have to talk to office people usually Bernadine is a lot nicer than Diana just FYI

I wouldn't recommend these apartments. I recently had a medical emergency and now they're charging me $800 for a non breach fee for not giving keys the day my mom went into a coma. I've left a message with their corporate office. I lived there for two years, never caused any problems although people have been shot and killed ( 19 yr old girl ), trash is always on the ground surrounding the trash cans, and the times where there has been 0 parking spots and I had to leave my place of living to spend a night somewhere else only to be told they have no control over that.

Okay so I currently live here, I'm going to be very honest. When I first came to the walk through I absolutely fell in love it was very pretty from the outside when we got to the inside of my apartment that im at right now it smelled like nothing but vinegar and soap. I looked around so pretty nice counters nice rr nice closet, couldn't wait to move in. The move in day, i checked everything again me im a very clean person i do not like having dirty cabinets but they were filled with roach poo, and i HATE ROACHES! The first night wasn't that bad with roaches i would see a couple of them but uff after that night MILLIONS AND MILLIONS of ROACHES. Its so bad guys really bad from the bottom of my heart please Do not make the same mistake i did by moving here. The staff is rude! Yes it is very true! Also they try to come into my apartment i have two locks on my door 1 you can only open it from the outside, well that outside lock they open it and try to come in i was inside my apartment when they tried to come in here but the 2nd lock was locked that Bi Diana tried and weeks later Stephanie did the same thing. God please help those girls they need Jesus in their lives!! Do not move into these apartments trust me i regret it every day!

Let me tell you one thing about the staff. They suck. Rude customers service and was even thrown off the premises. Do not recommend and for a fact I don't even stay there. I was just looking for an apartment. We don't got nothing and instead she told me to shut up and leave.

The manager ----- is horrible ! ! She lies and cheats her tenants and smokes cigarettes all day. The maintenance man walked into my apartment one time when I was getting out of the shower, the kids run lose at all types of times of the night.bad ant problem and roaches ugh! They lie and bribe the tenants for extra money threatening to evicted them (-----)! Why is she still working here and why hasn't she been investigate ? This is a serious problem if she is stealing and bribing the tenants. I suggest no one more here unless you don't have to deal with anyone unless turning in rent
