This place is awful!!! My air has been broken for months, and still I can not get anyone to come and fix it. I just had a baby. And have two additional small children and these people don't give a damn! I have never been late with my rent. I am not a problem tenant. They have never had a situation related to our unit. So why is it that my family has to live in a sweat box. The people in the front office appear to be so caring and concerned for their tenants. Well....don't fall for that ----. Again I say, these people don't give a damn about their tenants. Just don't b late with their money! Also the washers and dryers are always broken, the pest control has never came to my place not one time and I have almost been here a year. I have small children and have been requesting screens for almost a year, yet I have never received them! The fire alarm goes off all day every day so you never know when to evacuate your family. MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN!!! The elevators never work, and they slam so hard. I pray no one's child ever gets slammed in it. That has been going on for almost a year. My husband seen the porter running out of a tenants house with a big screen LED TV to the stairwell....hhhhmmmm! And there are prostitutes soliciting FULL TIME! EVEN TRANSEXUALS!!! Yesterday morning as my family was headed to the car for school and work, and a 50 yr old prostitute walked all the way up to my family (children included) and began to dance very whorishly right in front of us. I can't take it anymore. I hate this place! I wouldn't suggest it to anyone! Especially if you have children. Think twice!

I have been living in the Atrium for about 2 years and it's actually a good place to live.

I previously lived at the Atrium Braeswood back in 1996. It was a beautifully, well kept, property with residents that really took pride in where they lived. I returned to the property this year (2010) expecting to find the same and WHAT A SHOCK! The drug dealing, prostitution, unsupervised children, appliances that have not been upgraded since the property inception, carpet (that is simply a rug) that is the same since property was built, acceptance of rent suppliments, and a nice management staff that is too nice to control the property. Now we have signs on the building by the Fire Marshall stating property is a "Fire Hazard". UNTIL THE OWNER UNDERSTANDS YOU GET WHAT YOU ALLOW IN AND RECTIFY THIS MATTER, THE PROPERTY WILL NEVER IMPROVE. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY TO MY WORST ENEMY. That is no reflection on the management staff, I think they do the best they can. This matter is just over their heads.

I was considering moving to braeswood atrium; The inside and outside of the building is beautiful!! Glass elevators, fitness center, built in microwaves, oversized units, polite and understanding office staff! Braeswood Atrium almost won me over! The ONLY reason I did not lease with them is because of a comment that was made! I'm not racist, but you can't have too many black people living in one building! Problems will arise quick! It's NOT just black people that casue problems, but they are the primary issue! It's a beautiful building, and I think if they conducted a process of elimination then things would be sooo much better! I realize you can discriminate against a person's race, but sometimes.... you have too! Above all, the building is nice... the area not too good, and too many people from the same ethinic background in one building!

I used to live back in 2000 thru 2008 and the place was auful, I don't know who was running this place back then, cause all there were, were crackheads and people that did not belong here, now I have moved back cause the new management r taking better care of this property and I dont think they take much crap from anybody cause all the truble makers are being evicted and they dont play around, they tell us what to expect from day 1 and what will not b tolerated, one strike ur out. So if ur looking for a nice place to live around this area, u should try it here.
