Wood Trail Apartments is a complete nightmare. We moved in because the price looked good, but that was a lie from the start. On moving day, I grabbed a lollipop from the leasing office and found a roach inside it — that alone should’ve told us to run. Within weeks, the apartment became severely roach-infested. Roaches in the fridge, oven, dishwasher, bathroom, closets — everywhere. They “spray once and then ignore you. Broken items were never fixed, windows were taped up, outside lights didn’t work, and neighbors and I had to fix things ourselves. Maintenance is slow and useless. Security is a joke. Loud noise nonstop, vandalism, kids damaging cars, random people who don’t live there hanging around, gates always open, and trash overflowing everywhere. Management is rude, greedy, and disrespectful. They act nice until they get your money, then completely switch up. Rent is misleading and changes every month with random fees — our one-bedroom jumped to $1,200–$1,300. The online payment portal almost never works, forcing money orders, yet they’re quick to lock you out and threaten eviction with no warning. A staff member named Martha Flores took our payment for last month, laughed in our faces, and told us we would not get our money back. After we communicated that we would pay the next month a little late — due to constant rent increases and wanting basic repairs done — they still pushed an eviction. They used a so-called “last month eviction to justify trying to evict us for the current month, even though we had already paid. Extremely unprofessional and shady behavior. This place is dirty, unsafe, overpriced, and poorly managed. They will take your money, change prices, lock you out, and treat you like trash. Save yourself the stress and stay far away.

first off i wanna start by saying roaches are your roomates worst apartment experience ever i moved to houston im traumatized from water leaks to broken refrigerators to constantly have to call maintenance for multiple issues the heater issues and water does not get cold it was horrible . the rent has a nerve to be $812 they dont tell u that off the back they sell u that $770 fake bs then they change policies on you u have to pay a community fee and the community is garbage literal garbage the carpets are dusty and full of dustmites they dont even clean you have to yourself . if the apartment was up to mar and new i understand its a rip off could found something nicer for this price . some of the landlords are clearly prejudice . liars they dont go over your lease is not discussed they rush you to sigh dont do you miss hidden fees. The apartment itself horrible setup . Im starting to wish i stayed in illinois . this place needs to be sued honest for unsafe living conditions . i was a out of towner moving here please dont believe the nice pictures they show its all a scam. You work hard for your money so if you can find better do so. This is horrible i like to eat dinner without fear of roaches joining my plate for $812 i expect too

If you have fallen on hard times and this place is all you can afford, then do what you have to do. However, if you can afford to do better, but you are considering moving here to save a few dollars, I would advise against that. Not much money or effort is put into this property. Most repairs that I requested never got done or were done in a half-way manner. They don't put screens on the windows. The laundry room stays filthy for weeks. The dumpsters are way too small, so trash gets left around the perimeter creating a stinking eye-sore. A nasty mattress sat out there for two months in the summer of 2020. For some reason, there are three women in that office, but only ONE of them is allowed to post payments. And if she isn't there for a few days, your payment will collect dust until she comes back. Then, you have to fight with them to get the late fees removed. What is wrong with the manager that she can't post the dang payments??? Most of the good, professional people have moved out and the people replacing them are not the kind of people you want to live next to. Not professional. Playing loud music. Smoking cigarettes and God knows what else on the porch. Fights in the parking lot between couples, etc. This complex is managed by a company called GPI Management. There is no contact information on their website. NONE. No address. No email. No phone number. That lets you know that they don't care about your experience at their communities nor do they hold their employees accountable for anything. Like I said. Go ahead and move there if it's the best you can do. It's better than living on the street. But don't be cheap if you can do better. You will get what you pay for, perhaps less.

PLEASE FIND A SAFER AND QUIETER PLACE TO LIVE! DO NOT CONSIDER THIS COMPLEX. I honestly wish I could give all ZEROS. I would NOT recommend anyone live here. When I first moved in about a year ago things were not that bad. However, now there has been an increase in crime, noise, and people dealing drugs from their apartments. The new management team does a piss poor job screening these potential tenants, and as a result you have overcrowding in apartments and people loitering all times of day and night. I even had an attempted break-in when a guy tried to open my window while I was in my apartment! When you communicate your concerns to management and/or the front office; they do nothing. I am seriously thinking of terminating my lease here. I am tired of the noise and disrespect of neighbors. This is not a safe environment anymore and I would rather warn people beforehand; and give you an honest depiction of this property.

Please spare yourselves the disgust and headache. This place is awful just like the comments mention. There is an infestation of bugs, the grounds are not kept up well, people smoking and overflowing trash. Had I known better, I would have done better in my apartment search. The area is perfect for me because unless you work in northern Houston, the area is decent. It is heavily wooded (lots of trees/bushes/grass) and so that may be the reason for the bugs but I doubt it. Maintenance is a joke, the people in the front office are not organized (NONE OF THEM) and the issue with roaming cats and neighbors feeding the roaming cats are gross. I could go on and on but I will spare you the details. PLEASE refer to these comments before considering. Counting the days and minutes until this raggedy lease is up.

My Fiancée rents here. Just recently the apartment was broken into but this was not your ordinary break in. The burglars had a key! They literally walked in and took a tv, a Xbox, a chrome cast, a fire stick, a brand new laptop and some cash that was on the table. They attempted to take another tv that was mounted to the wall but could not get it off. Shook & distraught my fiancee & I went to the front office the next day requested that the locks be changed and we were told we would need to pay for the locks. Now since someone used keys it looked as if someone we knew took it but after reading SEVERAL reviews saying that maintenance may be the culprit it ALL MAKES SENSE NOW! She pay over 1000$ a month for this apartment and things never get taken care of in a timely manner. After reading these reviews we changed the locks ourselves. The front office demanded we give them a copy of the key despite the fact of suspicion of maintenance. When we arrived to the home the night of the incident there was a security officer parked right outside. We asked him if he had seen anything And he said no. This is disturbing. We only left the home for 2 hours. Came back to 2000$ worth of merchandise gone. Neighbors keep telling us that our fight is a lost cause because they have all had things stolen. This is beyond ridiculous.

Do yourself a favor and go with a newer apartment complex. I have been in this apartment almost a month now. They give you a sheet asking what's wrong with the apartment. There are spots that aren't level in the entire apartment but I wasn't concerned with that. The only place I was concerned with was the kitchen. It was so severe your couldn't stand at the stove standing level one foot sank in further down into the ground and it the tiles were already bending to conform to the ground which looked like they would begin to Crack but technically w we really cracked yet. They send maintenance out they leave saying oh the tiles aren't cracked and left. I personally don't understand what their maintenance people get paid to do but I would definitely like their job of doing nothing. So I left a negative survey and they send outside contractors to do the floor. They pull all my appliances out redo the entire concrete stating they need about 7 or 8 hours for concrete to dry then the maintenance people from my complex will be back to lay the tile the next morning. The next day they come dragging in at 230pm stating they need to put a top coat of concrete on and it will be an additional day of no appliances not even a microwave yet again forcing me to eat out yet another day because my stove and dishwasher are in the dining room and washer dryer is on the patio. I ask them why they haven't already been there they claim they had emergencies all morning. The entire apartment is a disaster there is concrete dust everywhere and it's difficult to get off of your belongings. I had to clean out the kitchen for them when it hasn't been long since I unpacked my belongings not to mention having to give up your life for the last two days. The outside contractors were great but unfortunately they didn't do the entire job. The joke comes when you have to deal with the maintenance department again from the apartment complex. The apartment complex is older but could be decent if the maintenance people actually cared about their job and not just trying to cover up something. Do yourself a favor and go with a newer apartment their isn't enough difference in price to justify having to deal with all this not to mention their must not be a rule limiting owners from exiling their pets to the outside balcony and no dog weight limit because their is a huge dog prolly 80 pounds or more that is put out on the balcony and I promise you he barks nonstop all night. Every night I have not been able to sleep until I passed out from pure exhaustion because this dog barks for a minimum of three hours starting at 10pm. I am a dog lover don't get me wrong even my neighbor has a huge dog that he takes out regularly and keeps inside his apartment and I only hear his dog when people knock or someone visits yet the dog that isn't even at my apartment building is the one I hear all night every night. The positives are the office staff has been great but they can only do their part unfortunately and the areas is quiet and feels secure.
