we moved in just 2 weeks ago and we can t say if woodtrail is a good place where to live. The agents at leasing center are very polite and kind. The complex is nice.

I came in from out of state. I found that it is really hard to find decent housing in Houston w/out breaking the bank because Houston is so crowded with everyone and their grandmother living here. I had no choice but to decide on this one w/out looking at it first because it was close to work and more reasonable than about 90% of the other some 15 odd apts I checked out in the area. First, the apt tries hard to keep the landscaping and common areas nice but the tenants are nasty. They allow their dogs to use our lawns and walkways as poop stops. Dog poop is smeared everywhere, and people have the nerve to walk barefoot on the walkways with smeared dog poop! Parking is ample but very narrow and the entrance and exit are pretty much one way making it somewhat inconvenient to have to drive all the way around instead of being able to go straight in and out of your complex. I have received about 3 or 4 notices on my door about assaults, thefts and robberies in this complex though I was lucky enough to not be a victim. Roaches. Tons of roaches. They come out of everywhere and are even on the outside of your door that is how bad. Roaches were so bad they started charging the tenants pest control fees which average around $10 a month extra. They keep changing the prices on their units and the units are not worth the price. My studio is small and dingy looking with very old frayed cabinets. I did get new stove and refrig. which was a huge plus. My vanity sink had hundreds of knats coming out of it from the intense filth left behind by previous tenants. There isn't very much noise and tenants do not peek into your apts when the blinds are open at night which is a plus. However, I would not rent here again due to price for what you get, roaches and dog poop everywhere. It is in a good location though being so close to busy Westheimer. Kind of a dirty complex all in all.

The management is disrespectful and uncaring. I have lived here for over a year and have had maintenance steal jewelry from my apartment, management lie about having security cameras, being aware of apartments with too many tenants, large dogs running free in apartments braking through windows. Most recently while working out of town the management posted multiple notices on my door warning about thefts!! When I pulled up my door was plastered not only with pizza notices but Woodtrail notices...dating back over 2 months...real concern for my safety...what if I had been dead in there & theft just give those buglars an invitation. Got to go immediately. Very unsafe & they just get rude when you talk to them & most of the crime is from the other tenants & they know it!

The water is brown and the roaches are terrible. I have lived here two years . In that time many of my neighbors have had there car windows broken and there have been several burglaries. Last year someone was murdered. There are gang bangers living here. The Manager and leasing people are rude and nasty. The maintenance people barge in without even knocking. When they get around to fixing something, they do it half assed. The gate is always broken and there is no security. The worst apartment I have ever lived in, I can't wait to move out.

This is an extremely dangerous place to live, do not be fooled by the average amenities. There was a murder that occurred here in June of 2012 (still unsolved), tenants regularly hear gun shots, have their apartments robbed and are victims of armed robbery. In general, this is an extremely bad area of town. Move further inside the loop or move to the burbs. Do NOT live here.
