Avalon Fort Greene is an affordable luxury community with staff and services second to none. The location is extremely convenient for anyone working in the city while fostering a real Brooklyn neighborhood feel.Michael P.

My Avalon Fort Greene experience has been one of total disappointment. Over-populated apartments, total disregard for the rules of the building regarding smoking, and dogwalking. Tenents who just don't give a damn leave their garbage in the compactor room instead of throwing it down the chute. No problem - as long as you get the most rent you can get away with. So, rather than improve the status of the neighborhood, and make Ft Greene a better place, The management of this building has made Avalon fit right into the Ft Greene lowest common denominator - one of I DON'T CARE.

Avalon Fort Greene had a great staff-both the front desk and the office. They work within their limits to make you feel at home. The property is typically well maintained. The outside has a great courtyard and is wonderful to visit in the summer

I have never lived in a full-service building before and the Avalon team has made me a convert to this type of building. The sales group has always been completely professional in dealing with my lease and legalities, the concierge team is beyond fantastic, and the maintenance (from online scheduling, prompt service, and great leave-behind notes) has been completely reliable.

I'm one of the first residents at Avalon Ft. Greene, and I have loved living in the building. Maintenance requests are handled swiftly, and I've never had any serious or negative issues with either my neighbors or the staff. You can't beat the location -- tons of subway and can access, and the neighborhood is really starting to grow with more restaurants and stores within walking distance. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Avalon is truly it's own community within the Fort Greene community. The staff at the front desk bends over backwards for us and I love going up the elevators with our neighbors. We learn more about each other and love the dogs and children. Best ice breakers for a short elevator ride. One negative, the $60 charge for the gym and high prices for renting the club house. All of the other apartments in this neighborhood offer this as a complimentary amenity.

The building has a great location and staff. The view is very nice as well. The walls a bit thin so a neighbor who is not considerate can be quite annoying (music at night or smoking) and there appears to be little that the staff can do.

Apartment is great and building is relatively new. Service requests are handled in a timely manner and maintenance/front door staff is very friendly. Close to major subway, but neighborhood still feels a little sketchy. If you live on Flatbush side, lots of traffic noise, but this can easily be drowned out by fans/TV/white noise/etc.

The staff here are very friendly, welcoming and helpful, it certainly makes for a great living experience here. I love that each unit has its own washer/dryer, it's super convenient especially because I have a baby! Overall this is the best apartment I've ever rented and I've lived in a handful of apartments here in NYC!

Avalon Fort Greene is a great place to live, with a very caring and attentive staff which makes it feel like home. However, there are some issues that may not be resolvable like building noise when you are trying to sleep - can't detect where it is coming from.
