Love this building

Unit 440 Pros: Hallways are kept spotless, trash is always taken out quickly, zero noise, package room, electricity included with rent Cons: One doorman is not nice at all.

UWS Apartment Building

Pros: Doorman and women in the building are nice and never had an issue with losing mail or a package. They definitely provide an added level of security. I live in a unit that was newly renovated in 2022. Appliances are nice. Laundry in the building is nice and the basement/laundry area was recently renovated. Cons: Cockroaches have made an appearance in the second year of living here. During the full duration of time living in this building I would see some cockroaches in the stairwell or basement. However, in my second year of living in the building we have had several instances of cockroaches in our apartment. Our apartment being newly renovated has sealed floorboards and sealed around the sink so it is confusing as to how they are getting in. We had maintenance install a door sweep and exterminator come several times but still have had instances. Laundry in the building is nice but after the renovation they installed new machines which also increased the price of laundry. The old machines were perfectly fine and cheaper. Our neighbor above us is constantly pounding/making loud noise. We have a few interesting characters in our building. Lots of cigarette and weed smokers on our floor that cause the smell to enter our apartment. Advice to landlord: Better maintenance on pests and have the exterminator fully examine the full building including the utilities closet.

Pros: Safe, convenient, and well maintained building The staff are wonderful, lovely, helpful people It’s really quiet for the most part Things are taken care of in a timely manner Cons: High rent Laundry room needs cleaning & price reductions Have had 2 cockroaches

Pros: Nice neighbors, great doorpeople, safe building Cons: Heat can be spotty at the beginning of the season, rent has skyrocketed

A Great building

Pros: Paul, the manager, was really on top of everything; any time there was an issue, which was rare, he immediately responded and fixed it. The concierges are very good and organized people. In a great location, outside of the 1 and 8 minute walk to Trader Joe’s. Cons: Laundry room left a little to be desired

Well maintained building

Pros: Neighbors are for the most part friendly, doormen helpful, safe, clean and well maintained place to live. Cons: Manager is less than willing to do anything “extra” for tenets. Advice to landlord: I have none

The location was the only reason I moved in. The building looks great from outside, but it's not well maintained. Laundry in the basement was a huge convenience, though. The lady at the reception during the day shift was nice, but evening staff is creepy. Worst was the weekend evening assembly of the creepy doorman with all his friends in the lobby, which would freak out my girlfriends and their kids.
