Pros: I enjoyed living in StuyTown and this building is right on the border of the east village so it's the best of both worlds. Everything works pretty smoothly. Extremely good value apartment and very spacious. I love the Oval. Cons: Sometimes we had elevator problems and there were a few months where one elevator was down. At some point packages stopped consistently coming up to our doors which was pretty annoying. Occasionally maintenance requests take a while to be fulfilled unless you call

Pros: The building management and staff on the property are very helpful and responsive. Cons: They like to upcharge for small things, like unlocking your apartment if you get locked out, and the halls can be dirty.

Unit MF Pros: Safe, clean, maintenance is helpful. They also clean common spaces often Cons: You can’t control the heat and it’s not on in the mornings when it’s cold.

Pros: The building is well taken care of. I've NEVER seen a rodent or roach in all my 5 years of living there. I feel very safe living here as a single female. Cons: I don't love that we can't control the heat. Sometimes it gets super chilly and there's nothing you can do about it. The walls are VERY thin.

Unit MB Pros: Good location, laundry in building, porters clear garbage quickly, safe community Cons: Management did not quickly or efficiently respond to our complaints about the lack of heat in the winter and our apartment was freezing all winter long Had an ant problem and their methods did not work to fix it until we called 311 and then they finally sent someon Advice to landlord: Hire more maintenance staff
