Pros: Stuytown services always took care of any problems in a timely manner, maintenance requests went through their online portal and we never had any pest problems, neighbor problems, utility problems for the 3 years while we were there. Cons: A bit expensive but good for any student in the lower manhattan area

Pros: Large bedrooms, safe and secure mail collection system, great laundry room, quick and functional elevators, good intercom system, safe Cons: No roof or outdoor space access, rent is unfathomably high considering the buildings history. Stuytown being acquired by BlackRock was the worst thing that could have happened to it. Advice to landlord: Lower the rent! These are historically safe apartments for veterans and the working class!

Pros: Great amenities, feel taken care of with a constant presence of porters and Stuytown employees. Building is clean and quiet. Cons: Had a small issue with cockroaches - not an infestation, but we usually see about 1 per month. Stuytown provided an exterminator that was difficult to work with and refused to look for entry points (kept insisting "they come through the drains" even though our drains are only open when in use.

Unit MF Pros: Responsive management, well cleaned common spaces Cons: The scaffolding really made the experience much worse, and we were not given notice that there would be scaffolding going up. Advice to landlord: Notify tenants of scaffolding plans before leases are signed.
