I have never dealt with a worse management company in my 8 years of living in New York. I am still owed thousands of dollars and I moved out over three months ago. They have been nearly unresponsive to my phone calls and emails and when they do answer they talk in circles or tell me they are not in the office etc. There was constant construction, the walls are very thin, we had kids playing and screaming in our hall ways almost every evening, we had laundry stolen out of our laundry room and when I went to complain about the situation literally received a shoulder shrug, I also informed them that the back door that should be locked is constantly left open and that never changed so anyone could wander in and out, and just to top it off we had mice multiple times in our apartment and we were only there a little over a year. They completely scammed us on our lease and despite written proof are denying the concession promised. Save yourself the headache and move somewhere else.

After moving around the city for several years, I recently moved into PWV, 792, and the experience has been outstanding. The brand new unit was beautifully renovated with high end appliances, finishes, and furnishings - the unit came furnished, an extra which is extremely difficult to find. Overall, PWV has been much much better than the other leasing and/or management companies I've dealt with in the past The management and leasing offices worked with us before, during, and after the move to make sure we got settled as quickly and easily as possible, visiting us and the apartment personally to check on our progress. The complex is clean, well kept with trees and grass and a couple of dog runs, and is steps from Whole Foods, Duane Reade, Birch Coffee, the B/C one block to the East, the 2/3 two blocks to the West, and Central Park. The location is unbeatable. If you're looking for a place on the UWS, I don't think you can do better than PWV.

Renting from PWV Acquisition and living in 792 Columbus has been outstanding. I have lived in other buildings with in house management and leasing offices and PWV has far exceeded my expectations. The location is prime, accessible, and perfect for families, singles and students. Steps from amazing shopping, trains, Columbia and the Park. The management office was extremely accommodating and helpful throughout our move and time settling into the apt. Their level of customer service and care has a personal touch which is not typical of NYC apts. It matches the friendly atmosphere of PWV. Our apt was newly cut rennovated with gorgeous finishes, built in furnishings, all we needed was our personal belongings! I would highly recommend renting from PWV and Columbus Square Property Management!

Renting with PWV has been a great and easy experience thus far. This is my first time renting in the city and friends (renting elsewhere) had me a little nervous to even try with the high costs and fees they experienced in manhattan. Not the case at all!! Just the application fee, that's it! My friends were all jealous of what I was given here. The process was very painless and professional. I have heard others who live here mention the same thing. Management office is easy to work with and efficient. They are also great about returning emails. The staff are ALL friendly to work with and I've been amazed how they get the nicest employees. From the doorman(s), the office employees, the maintenance people, the garbage guys, the mail room and even the window ;re all so kind!! You know they're doing things right when even some of the employees choose to rent here. Some added perks are that they are dog friendly here! There are two dog runs that you have access to on site and the dogs generally all get along really well. This is the best part about my dogs day. Here you're close to Central Park and Whole Foods is just around the corner along with many other great stores. The property feels safe with all three PWV buildings facing each other and employees on site 24/7 at each building. Also, the buildings are well maintained. There are many great thing about living here and being a part of this community.

Constant contraction noise throughout the building. Landlord constantly turns heat off during some of the coldest days and only turns it on after receiving multiple complaints. Dealing with the office can be maddening as their response is usually a suggestion to move out if you don't like it here. Maintenance staff is friendly, provided you offer a nice tip in advance. Maintenance of the floors (vacuuming, etc) is below standard for a complex that charges $4,000+ a month for rent. If you're looking to rent on the UWS, you could probably do better.

If I could, I would truthfully give this place a negative rating. Whatever you do, DO NOT MOVE HERE. The management team is virtually non-existent if you have questions or complaints (of course they are active only before you sign your agreement) and once even bullied me when I complained about one of my packages going missing. Found out that we are paying twice the rent compared to all of the older neighbors surrounding us, among other issues. The "security" team, including the doormen, is virtually nonexistent when you need to pick up a package (they are off to lunch for a few hours at a time in the evening, which is awful if you work during the day and get home anytime after 6pm). The worst part is you cannot pick up packages on the weekends because the staff "doesn't have a key" to access the package room. The only plus to this place is that there is no broker fee (but now I can see why) when committing to the apartment.

Management refuses to deal with issues when it is not to there benefit. Due to construction disturbances including an unsafe level of dust (possibly including lead as posted by the Dept. of Health), we've been forced to vacate the apartment for numerous nights. However, management not only refuses to offer us a discount for nights we were unable to stay at the apartment, but they've failed to respond to five attempts to reach them to discuss the matter. Their management is unacceptable (and non-existent).

The building is only superficially nice appearing. Look deeper and you will find many rent-controlled apartments, thin flimsy walls through which you can hear your neighbors, and poor quality floors and cabinets. The management takes every penny they can from you- and will lie to you about the ongoing noisy construction and renovations- and are not willing to accommodate you or work with you in any way. Maintenance issues are never fixed on time. We have had roach problems several times. Be careful of this building- it is very overpriced and not a pleasant living experience.

Sleazy management (tries to rip tenants off at every opportunity), appliances cheap (peeling after one year), lousy upkeep, dirty halls and stairwell. Apartments WERE reasonably priced and complex WAS sorrounded by trees, benches and greenery. HOWEVER, in 2013, PWV Hiked rent up hundreds of dollars per tenant and THEN proceeded to gut the trees, and grass around the complex, which they are turning into a parking lot, while they build an old age home in what was formerly the parking lot. Tenants will be subjected to construction noise, dust and soot for next 2 years The best that could be said is that the apartments are spacious.

My wife and I lived at PWV for three years and in general our experience was pretty positive. The neighborhood is great-- very up and coming. Our apartment was definitely the nicest studio in our price range on the UWS and we looked at SEVERAL. The building is fine. It's pretty old and shows its age in some ways. There are definitely mice, roaches, etc in the building but that's to be expected in NYC. We never had bugs and had mice once in three years. Management brought in an exterminator but I'd already bought my own traps which worked better. Management is generally okay to deal with. Basic repairs are done very quickly, though they're less on top of extensive repairs. We had one issue that they didn't fix for a year after our first complaint. The doormen and security are great. Very nice people and I always felt very safe in the whole complex. The walls are paper thin, and we had several problems with loud neighbors. On the whole, PWV isn't perfect, but what NYC apartment is?
