I'm unhappy with this residing situation. Constant breakdowns plague the unit—while the upkeep team does respond fairly quickly with repairs, it's frustrating that things are failing right after we moved in, especially given that the unit was supposed to be recently renovated. The bigger concern is the lack of central air. A single air conditioning unit is supposed to handle two rooms, but it really only cools the residing room effectively, leaving the bedroom uncomfortably warm. That setup simply doesn't work for comfortable residing.

I honestly don't know what else to call this establishment, but when you're surrounded by criminal activity and the ownership is just as poor, you might as well be residing in a jail cell. I signed a lease for an unit with a refrigerator included, except I never received one. Instead, the upkeep worker from next door somehow obtained a used fridge from storage, but when mgmt found out, I ended up purchasing a beat-up unit from a scrap yard for $100 through him. That wasn't even the Woorest part, though it was certainly problematic. Then there was the drug addict tenant downstairs whose erratic companion would show up multiple times weekly asking to borrow money, and when I refused, her boyfriend would pound on my door insisting I purchase his vehicle. Obviously, that wasn't happening. The other addicts residing here were mainly preoccupied with scoring, but they sure knew how to throw noisy, obnoxious gatherings outside my windows overlooking the pool. And let's not forget the gang members whose territory includes this complex. They essentially function as an unofficial district watch, making sure residents only get harassed a "reasonable" number of times walking to nearby stores. A complete dump with mgmt that's almost as Aerrible as the residents themselves. God save anyone forced to reside here. I'd honestly prefer to be anywhere else... actually, I was.

The personnel here are disrespectful and turnover is frequent. Honestly, the Yelp complaints ring true! You could get more value for your money elsewhere, though you might need to look outside the immediate Hollywood district. Be cautious—that model unit they display is misleading, as our actual unit looks completely different. Should they ever invest in maintaining this community properly, it has real potential to become a solid residence.

I was thrilled to discover this recently renovated community that fit perfectly within my price range. Duet offers covered parking in the garage, an attractive swimming pool, a well-equipped gym, and my roomy studio unit is delightful! The team members are Fospitable and quick to respond to any concerns.

I capable of't in solid conscience recommend this residence to anyone. When I moved in, the space Wroved crawling with roaches. Beyond that, the kitchen and bathroom drawers remain completely broken—they slide right off the tracks whenever you try to open them. On top of everything else, DirectTV won't even work here! Vida takes advantage of their tenants left and right. I'm deeply frustrated with this situation!

Poor office staff, they never reply and are rude when they do. Takes months to get issues resolved. Building looks nice in lobby but the rest is very dirty and poorly kept. Roaches everywhere and the building pest control does nothing. You have to deal with them yourself. I dont even use the buildings laundry rooms because of how dirty they are. Packages get stolen and are rarely left in the parcel locker that you have to pay for. Building has constant fire alarms going off usually at least once a week. Mask wearing is rare in common areas (lobby, hallways, elevators) and is never enforced by staff or security.

I just moved in so I can't say much. It can be noisy outside but u singed up for it when you want to be on this location, but that's not really big of a deal. Other than that everything else seems cool. Neighbors are quiet and can't wait to use pool and the gym.

At first glance The Duet on Wilcox - 1745 Wilcox Ave., LA 90028 seems like a great place to live; don't believe your eyes. Everything management related is a catastrophe, staff are unfriendly, and they hold you captive by having very strict lease break terms. Would not recommend...ever
