Chadwick has been around for a long time. Many people seem to write that they have a nasty issue with roaches, and I'm sure that it was true. But with the new mgmt that took over a few months ago this place seems to be on its way to becoming a place true to its name. They have managers that respond well to their tenants (especially Edward) and things gets fixed really quick at this place. I really like it here.

I'm satisfied with my apartment. I maintain a clean living space to keep pests away. The facilities here are great. I feel secure when I'm around the property since You've got Security Guards present throughout the community.

I don’t have much to say because I just moved to the place. but, in terms of the size of the studio and all the amenities, it’s quite far ahead of most buildings in LA in that price. Personally, there's a little problem I’ve identified, which is the non-soundproof walls. It's easy to lack privacy due to curious neighbors. But overall, the place is really well planned, and the spaces are good.

tips: 1)pest mgmt- apply boric acid in corners near refrigerators and cooking appliances; disconnect outlets for microwave and tv specifically since roaches are drawn to the electrical heat. maintain Cpotless dishes and remove garbage daily. we dealt with roaches initially but they disappeared within days of following this routine. 2)home safety- consistently lock all doors. keep the patio entrance secured and shut curtains when away from home. turn on lighting before departing. owning a pitbull or german sheperd helps too(lol) 3)car security- straightforward approach. keep your vehicle empty. no luggage, documents, or bills visible. eliminate anything that might attract unwanted attention.been a resident since july '09, it works.its acceptable!

Cats are everywhere in the chadwick. They sleep on my car every night and force me to carwash every week. You better be careful your every step in the Anit, you might end up with cat ---- on your feet. can't sleep well at night because cats make noise every night and early morning in the patio. these cats continue making babies and getting more. They even made babies right on my patio last month.......gosh. The new mgmt seems have no idea how to run this Anit. Instead of improving our basic needs like security or service, they spent lots money on remodeling their office and gym just to make them look good. The garage is open all the time and I see Derilous people walking around in the community. Customer service manager doesn't seem want to help, but blame on us. I can't wait to move out here. God bless Chadwick

After initially moving in, I experienced delays getting maintenance concerns addressed promptly. Over the last few months, but, this problem appears to have been resolved. The staff has been quite responsive and accommodating of late.

Might be the ambiance is good of society but the security wise nothing has been done. Homeless come and hide in laundry . There's no working camera on entry and exit. Also if one create maintenance request, maintenance guys visit residence in months for that also resident has to follow up multiple times.

The neighborhood isn't the best, I personally never had any problems with break-ins etc but I had a 2nd floor unit, walking alone at night outside the complex probably isn't the best idea.
Parking is a pain in the a$@, first of all it could take them a month to find you an assigned spot (you have to tough it out in temporary parking) and if you have a two bedroom you have to use tandem parking which means you have to wake your roommates up all the time to move their car so you can get out.
Moving in is expensive (for hired movers, because the distance from where you can unload your stuff and your place is quite a hike).
The elevators are usually broken, sometimes people get stuck in them. Use the stairs.
The pool is nice to look at. Don't swim in it. Same goes for the hot tubs. And every few weeks they'll rope off the pools with that yellow crime scene tape after who knows what has happened in/to it. And it could be weeks before it's fixed.
Apartments are super quiet if you're above the ground level, don't get a view of the basketball courts or a view of the pool because those are loud areas.
Roaches are a problem, and even if you manage to kill most of them in your apartment chances are they are migrating from your neighbors just as fast as you're killing them. Keep your food sealed.
mgmt is ok. They're great when you're moving in and fairly rude afterward. The security guys are great! They're fairly quick to respond to requests and always polite.
It takes forever to get your deposit back when you move, be prepared for this. And most of it will be gone from "cleaning fees" so count on nothing and if you get something consider it a plus.
Apartments are ugly and you can't paint. Beige carpet, beige walls. Not a lot of cabinet space. Cable is ok, but you can only get certain channels from Adelphia, few options.
The best thing about this place is that parking is eventually assigned, they give two (tandem) spaces for a 2 bedroom (rare in LA), there's a great grocery store (Vons - don't use Ralphs) next door, the buses/subway are close and it's a really quick commute to downtown. They don't allow dogs but I saw a lot of dogs while I lived there.
The maintenance guys are great too, fast and friendly.

Appalling. Unsafe. Filthy. Ignored. Negligent. Disrespectful. Unprofessional. The mgmt staff divulges protected, legally-prohibited tenant information to other tenants. The mgmt staff fails to respond to requests. The common spaces are filthy and hazardous. Pandemic protocols were handled poorly and frequently disregarded. A thorough examination of your procedures and standards would be highly beneficial.

Security presence should be increased. The common hallways lack proper cleanliness standards. The parking garage floor hasn't been washed in approximately 4 years. Late-night noise from people congregating on the outdoor benches remains an issue. The pool and gym facilities are being utilized by individuals who don't live here.
