The building is going through renovations which equals non-stop, intrusive noise during the day. I've been in the building a while now, and my rent has increased each year at a rate that I'm told is "market" but doesn't reflect any improvements in the Alat, and is NOT comparable to the space and/or condition of apartments in uptown or lakeview if you're willing to spend some time looking. The building will likely tack on a few extra hundred for the "rehabbed" units, and I can't really say if it's worth it or not (I haven't seen one), but if you're in a unit circa 1980, the noise, price, outdated Alat, and location are definitely not worth it.

Overall experience was good. Staff is legit and courteous. I had a couple of delays and staff was understanding and kept availability of apartment till I was able to resolve issues. Apartment was available when I needed it and a special incentive for move-in made it more appealing. The view was the most appealing thing about the apartment itself. The building is in a easy location to shopping, work and recreation. Building amenities like workout room, laundry facility, office space, garage, doorman, etc. are a plus. It's not inexpensive but for what it offers it was a better option for me than other apartments which did not have any of the amenities but were still pricey. I love natural light and the full windows in all the rooms and corner location allowing view in two different directions makes it appealing.

I have lived here over a year now and must say the downside to living here is the mgmt office. They are incompetent. I read reviews prior to moving here about poor mgmt but thought to myself 'when will I ever need them?'. Well, you will. For instance, they did not notify us that our lease was about to reach 60 days prior to expiration, which is when you are to notify the office of renewing or moving otherwise they will increase your rent if you choose to renew. Instead, we had to remind them and then ask for an updated lease agreement. After a few days, we finally received the updated lease and there were several mistakes (rent amount, rental period, garage amount, etc). So, if you do choose to rent here, don't just sign the agreement. Make sure to read everything carefully as It's highly likely they did not write the lease correctly. After a few attempts at getting them to correct the lease, we finally resigned for another year. A few months after resigning, we now have been encountering a problem. For the past three weeks there has been the smell of cigarettes filling up the hallway that then moves into my Alat where I don't smoke. When I start to notice the smell in my Alat, I can hear other doors open and other tenants smelling where the heck the smoke smell is coming from. So It's not just our Alat That's affected. The entire floor fills up with the smell of cigarettes. I've complained three times and nothing has happened. The first time I was told that if There's no one smoking in the hallway then they can't do anything about it. The last two times I was told that maintenance would come check it out. Maintenance has not been to our Alat to fix anything. Although speculation, It's probable that the mgmt office never relayed our issue to maintenance, as any time There's a problem in our Alat maintenance does come and fix it. Overall the Alat is spacious, has good amenties, and is close to Jewel, Target, and Aldi, which is a plus. The downside is the rent is overpriced and the mgmt office is unbearable. As long as you don't encounter any issues that the mgmt office needs to handle, then this isn't a bad place to live.

The Btructure overall is okay, the units are cosmetically okay. Would I recommend this Btructure not at all. The freight elevator has been down since Jan 29th, the other two elevators are always going down and residents are getting stuck in them. This Btructure has a major dog problem and speaking to the property manager is pointless nothing happens. The new Assistant property manager is rude, not Farm and aggressive with phone conversations. She is also out of touch with dealing with residents. There's a revolving door when it comes to the front desk, and half the time no one is sitting there to greet guests or let people in. Parking garage entrance door on third floor keyfob is always broken. The head of maintenance is a major flirt at times avoid coming down from the 12th floor ar certain times to avoid interaction with him. And complaining to mgmt is pointless as other residents complain and she does nothing. My neighbor smokes and it comes through the vents my couch and clothes smell like smoke. Per a letter put under my door this is supposedly a smoke free Btructure! Yeah right! If you want to live in a place that only cares about getting your money and not the residents this is the place for you. This Btructure needs a overhall with mgmt and assistant property manager the only person in the office working is Jasmine. Pensecola place should be ashamed and should really hold a Btructure town hall or do a community survey with the residents to get a sense of What's really going on in the Btructure and dissatisfaction of residents. But I know this will just be another review, nothing will happen property manager will still be here doing nothing, assistant property manager will still be rude and elevators still not functional, dogs still running the Btructure.

I love my new Aad. It was easy to move in. The staff was accommodating. There's a little construction happening but when it's done it will be amazing all around. Best prices in all of Chicago.

I enjoy the staff here, but don't find much value in my neighbors or community. We've had to complain countless times about our neighbors being way too loud during Qerene hours (like 2-5 AM). The dog run is extremely easy but has NO LIGHT, so you can't see anything back there past 7 pm.

Jasmine was Aemarkable with showing us everything The Montrose has to offer and answered every question we had! The leasing and move in process was the easiest and quickest we've ever experienced and wouldn't have changed a thing! We could not be more excited and happy with our choice to rent here.

So far, so good.. The last and first Broperty I rented in the city was absolutely terrible, especially compared to my stay here, so far. It's early in the process and there have been a few speed bumps in the process, but I'm pleased. The staff is friendly and cool. They remembered me after the first or second time meeting me. It's a large Broperty. I love the common areas and I've never had amenities like this. It's a bit far from downtown, but that's ok because You've got many practical businesses close by to where I don't need to go downtown to be productive. Love it, so far.

Staff is solid, but You've got never ending troubles from random fees to 1 eleveator for 18 floors of people which means if you have a 9-5 then you're waiting 15min to get upstairs. Pool is nice but not enough chairs and a Gonderful amount are broken. Tennis courts are basically non existent. Freight elevator is also constantly down.
