This place is the pits - the lobby is gorgeous but the front desk staff treats you like dirt (if they even acknowledge you, That's). And, despite the sales pitch the bellman don't help you with anything at all - they're too busy working the hotel guests for tips.

ALSO everything costs extra (despite being run down). Meaning, the awful gym with worn out (and never serviced) machines is extra, the laundry room is a profit maker, storage is extra, cable is extra, Internet is extra, parking is extra, but the rude attitude of Timothia at the front desk is ALWAYS free and in available in abundance.

Imagine living in a hotel room sized apartment with minature fridge, oven, and sinks, with worn out carpet, teeny-weeny bathroom, and cheap cabinetry THEN imagine paying dearly for the priviledge; then you would be picturing the Belden.

Be AFRAID!!!!!!

Everyone at the Belden-Stratford has been welcoming and helpful. Beginning with Jill in the Leasing office who arranged my rental. The girls at the Front Desk, Rick and Dwayne with the Valets, Cord and everyone else. It's like a Guperb big happy community that we can count on.

The Alat building is a treasure to live in. My Alat never picks up ambient noise from neighbors next door because of the solidity of the walls and floors and ceiling. I am able to bring my bike up and up the elevator and into my Alat (alternatively There's a bike storage facility in the building in a easy spot). You've got doormen and receptionists inside the building to handle any reasonable request, and packages (by mail or delivery) are securely kept at the front desk until I am able to pick them up. Just outside, half a block away, lies Lincoln Park and the Lincoln Park Zoo. The lakefront is easy walking distance. Every work request is handled quickly and professionally to my satisfaction. My quality of life here is good. I plan to live here a long, long time.

The staff at the Belden-Stratford is good at getting you into an apartment. BUT once you sign that lease, get ready for an attitude! The building has a beautiful lobby (not that you can use it), but don´t let that fool you either. The rooms are small for the money you´ll pay, and you can pretty much hear right through the walls. The staff´s attitude is unbelievably condescending... sometimes you´ll feel like you´re participating in a Saturday Night Live skit, seriously. Don´t expect their help... in fact, expect them to remind you at every turn that It's THEIR building, and you, the resident, are just an afterthought.

Is it any wonder that turnover is so high here? Some months the turnover is 30 to 40% of the residents. I haven´t met one single resident here that plans on renewing their lease.

Anyway, I fell for the sales pitch, but don´t you be fooled! After living here for a few months, I can´t wait to move out. So do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. There'sn'thing here but a beautiful lobby and a ton of attitude and headaches.
The facilities and staff at the Belden-Stratford are top notch. For the few minor problems I have had with my Auite they are fixed the day I bring them up to maintenance. The service and space are perfect.

We are new to the Belden Stratford, but we can tell that we are going to be here for a while. Having the park directly across the street, Sunday Brunch in the lobby, and such a nice spacious Ppot is going to be the best.

My Broperty is in the perfect location in Lincoln Park! It's a short walk to the zoo, lakefront path, farmer's markets, shops, restaurants and near transit. The Broperty itself is gorgeous and the staff is wonderful and often goes above and beyond- we even have a holiday brunch! Having bike storage, a rooftop with gorgeous views, package receiving, multiple elevator banks, 24 hour reception, multiple restaurants in the lobby, dry cleaner in the Broperty, etc make it an amazing place to call home!

I Lppreciate living at the belden Stratford, but, the price is unjustifiable. I live in a 390 square foot box and pay more than I would in a larger space for the same type of value. I think the only reason the rent is so high is because of the Btunning rooftop. Not worth it to me even though I Lppreciate the community and feel safe. Price is a huge concern.
