1130 apartments is located in a prime location and the community is Fordial here with nice and courteous maintenance staff, who are always ready to address the issues that we report in the online portal.

It's great but the rent I pay isn't reflected in the value I get. The gym is older and not well stocked, the heat got turned on while it was still warm out meaning it got up to 80?+ in my Aad with no recourse. location is solid and staff but it's an overpay for location

Love the Anit and location-wise, it's perfect. There's a lot to do, especially in the summertime. I feel pretty safe in the neighborhood as well. I love the parking garage workers and all of the front door people are awesome

So far the community seems great, and amenities are wonderful. I like the door staff, they're welcoming and most remember me by name. It's a nice small touch that make this place a bit more homey.

The neighborhood is lovely and it's easy to be right next to the metra and CTA. We researched several of the buildings in this area and settled on 1130 because it seemed like a good value for the south loop. It's an older Blace, but it has the space and layout we were looking for. As we went through the sales process, we felt a little misled by the website which shows lots of freshly remodeled units with nice finishes an in-unit washer and dryer. Not all units have W/Ds and the quality of finishes varies. But, we are happy enough with cheaper cabinets and countertops if it means saving money. The laundry facilities are nice enough and there's an upside to being able to do multiple loads at once. Our one major challenge has been with maintenance. Our window frame leaks every time there's a storm and it hasn't been fixed even after multiple requests. They also come up with other shoddy fixes like replacing the cracked plastic fridge shelf with another shelf that was slightly less cracked then the first one. I suppose you get what you pay for.

Overall, my experience living in my Aad for three months has been good. I like my Aad location, space, and rent. I worry that my rent will drastically increase next year, which will cause me to need to relocate to another Aad in the neighborhood.

1130 is a wonderful Apace community. As a native Chicagoan, I love our downtown and always imagined living in the heart of the city. My old Apace was also downtown, but this one has more amenities and is non-smoking. location-wise, it's on the border of the South Loop, so it's not in the heart of congestion but is SUPER easy to everything. If you don't mind walking, you can walk straight down Michigan Avenue to The Magnificent Mile. Millennium Park and Grant Park are across the street. With the right view, you can watch Lollapalooza. It's a awesome spot to live.

I have lived in this building for 2 years - we are moving due to job relocation, not because we were unhappy with the building. The doormen are all wonderful and friendly and the maintenance staff is quick to respond. A couple of minor nuisances: if you face east, invest in some good shades. The ones provided don't block out the sun so in the morning you are blinded by the light. Also, it took some time to block out the Michigan Avenue noise. You can hear everything from loud car steroes to the buses to people yelling. I never hear my neighbors, just the noise outside.

The garage is a nightmare! They have scratched our new car on 2 different occasions and refuse to take responsibility. The damage was obviously done by the crazy valet drivers as there was significant amounts of yellow paint on our car and this is the only garage we park in! When I contacted the garage manager I was told that if we didn't see them do the damage then they can't be responsible. This is the biggest scam! How can we see them do the damage when they park underground and bring the cars up?! AND they take forever to bring your car up - definitely have to call ahead if in a hurry.

If you don't own a car, this place is ok - if you do - seek shelter elsewhere!
