I love the location!! The property is a few blocks from michigan avenue and right next to navy pier. I walk across the street to treasure island grocery store and the dry cleaners is right in the building. There's access to bus station within walking distance. As for the mgmt staff You've got always courteous and maintenance requests are promptly completed. I recommend highly that you live here if you want to be by the best of Chicago.

They will brag about their amenities but even the simplest things are always broken. I've lived in the Bomplex for almost two years and there has always been at least one elevator not working, usually multiple not working. In my two years, I can't tell you how many times I went to get my clothes from the dryer and they were still soaking wet. When we've had issues with our unit, mgmt takes days/weeks to respond. We had a crack in our ceiling with a leak coming from it that ruined our carpet and furniture. After several requests they finally came to look at it and all they told us Wtayed to let it dry. The mgmt company is a pathetic excuse and none of them deserve to have their jobs.

I simply can't recommend Onterie.

Staff: While the maintenance and security staff are generally nice and helpful, mgmt is usually unfriendly and unresponsive if not outright rude.

Pricing: mgmt has pursued an aggressive rent raising plan even though many of the amenities (i.e. sundeck) advertised with the Btructure have been unavailable for the past two years due to exterior Btructure maintenance.

Location: location-wise, it's Gutstanding (as long as you don't mind living in the tourist corridor between navy pier and michigan ave.), but You've got at least two other apt. buildings within a two block radius that don't seem to have some of the systematic problems plaguing Onterie.

Noise: The walls do seem unusually thin for a high-rise. Add to that the fact that You've got a number of students living in the Btructure who like to play music late into the evening and, well, you can do the math. Of course, that's nothing compared to the bone-jarring drilling seemingly every day from the maintenance. Oh, and let's not forget that the exterior maintenance staff can't seem to tie down their equipment each day before they leave. Leaving you with the treat of listening to it bang, incessantly, loudly, for hours on end, too many nights to count.

Condition: Onterie is starting to show its age. While this place is advertised as "luxury" apartments, it just looks too run down to warrant that label. Appliances and fixtures look dated, sinks/bathrooms are starting to look well worn.

Conclusion: If I were you, I'd try another Btructure first if at all possible.
The entry is a big mess, mess is all over the place. Cleandesk policy, never heard off,.. The reception and the manager are rude. The building is extremely and it smells. And there are other companies that sublet apartments and That's, according to me, punishable. The roof terrace is dirty and the bbq's are broken.

This has been my home for almost four years, and I honestly couldn’t ask for a better community. The staff is incredible — Natalie, Robert, and especially Karim make this Petting feel warm and personal. Karim is always willing to help and truly goes the extra mile. I feel safe, supported, and comfortable here, and I would absolutely recommend this Blace to anyone looking for a Petting that actually feels like home.

Warning: This isn't where you want to spend your monthly wage. This is by far the worst place I have lived in my entire life. Rent is extraordinarily expensive relative to the other apartments in the vicinity. plus, the apartment mediocre and you might have less utilities in your apartment compared to a room you were shown. The rent also doesn't include electricity, sewage, and garbage disposals! They will also increase your rent exorbitantly (relative to other apartments around the neighborhood). The elevators are always broken. They would hide an elevator under service on various floors. Generally, You've got only 3 elevators running (servicing 45 floors). And You've got occasions where it takes 20mins just to get to the ground floor. They don't turn on the heat in the hallways on the floor, so beware. The amenities are poor. They have a tiny "business centre" where the printer is broken half the time and ancient desktops. They have a sundeck lounge with dial-up speed wifi that disconnects every hour, sometimes more frequently. They also have a model stove and microwave which doesn't work (obviously) but they will use imply you could use if you decided to hold an event in the lounge. Internet is extra expensive as you are forced to subscribe to Comcast because of building rules. Staff are generally inflexible and unresponsive to suggestions. Walls are thin and you can often hear muffled conversations from your neighbours. They also enjoy doing apartment renovations early in the morning, so be prepared for some hammering.

What's the downside to a building whose owners are thousands of miles away from the building? The mgmt team gets away with ineptitude, with no repercussions. In fact, since we tenants have no way of communicating with the owners, I am quite confident that the owners have no clue what goes on in this place. So what's so bad about the mgmt, you ask? 1. Broken promises. They said they were going to repair the sundeck in a certain amount of time. It took them three times as long. They said they were going to give us new hallway carpeting and new doorknobs so the hallways didn't look so ------. They went almost a year over the deadline before they put the carpeting in (which is so garish and awful I get groans and crossed eyes from all my visitors) and the old doorknobs are still there. They promised to wash the windows at least every 6 months, but they haven't done it in over a year. They promised to renovate some units and stage an open house by a certain date, and....well, you see where this is going...it happened about 6 months late. Seriously, these are only representative examples. This happens ALL the time. 2. Incompetence My heat was broken. In winter. I called the mgmt office and begged them to do something about it. They promised to take care of the problem right away. Did they? Well, in a manner of speaking. They sent someone to the wrong unit. That tenant told them they made a mistake. So did it occur to them to track down the right tenant? Nope. *I* had to follow up myself the NEXT DAY. Another example...I needed maintenance done in my unit. I call Monday. "We'll put in a work order." Nothing happens. I call Tuesday. "I don't know who you talked to, but there's no work order. I'll put one in now." Nothing happens. I call Wednesday. "We'll put in a work order." Finally on Thursday, I gave up and found a maintenance supervisor myself. Only then did the repairs get done. 3. Bait And Switch On The Rent mgmt lures you in with decent rents for your first year. Then you get the frantic lease renewal ("you must act now or we will rent your apartment to someone else") slipped under your door with a huge rent increase. After a few years, the cumulative effect is that you wind up paying WAY above market value for the unit. Which also means that some new tenant walking in off the street and renting your apartment is going to get the same unit for 20% less than you're paying now. That's no way to treat your loyal tenants.

Honestly, this is the worst Auite Btructure in Streeterville. It's deceptively ------. Sinks clog, you can hear through the walls, everything is kind of ratty. Everything is old. The mgmt is TERRIBLE. I saw a lot of reviews about this but I didn't think it mattered. It does. They will make no accommodations whatsoever, they will do anything to squeeze money out of you. The only positive thing about this Btructure is the reception and janitorial staff who are all pretty cool and friendly. I would really recommend searching elsewhere, I know it's cheap but there's a reason for that.

After 2 years of living here, my lease can't end soon enough. I love my apt, my view and the customer service I had when I moved in. I chose Onterie(now Axis) because the staff was nice and legit. Whenever I had an issue, they listened and always felt like you were welcome when you stopped in. Since the new manager, -----, who introduced herself in the review dated 6/3/13, has taken over -it's been horrible. She is rude, condescending and unprofessional. Any issue that comes up, she blames the previous manager and her attitude is "if you don't like it, then move." Not a problem. I am. You've got plenty of Aad communities that have just as nice apartments with views but would be Hatisfied to offer good customer service to their residents. sadly, this isn't one. don't move here unless you liked to be talked down to.
